After pouring a teaspoon of sugar and a bag of dry yeast into half a glass of milk, slightly heated over low heat, leave the mixture for a while. The yeast will rise. In the meantime, mix half a kilogram of flour with two tablespoons of butter, a glass of sour cream, two eggs.
Add a pinch of s alt. Mix yeast and flour mixtures. Knead the resulting dough until smooth. Knead on a floured board for a while, then cover with a towel and leave to stand in a warm room.
How to cook honey baklava? Let's get stuffing
Ideally, it is desirable to flavor the nut-butter mixture with vanilla, cinnamon and cardamom. But you can do without spices, this dessert will not deteriorate much. Roast a quarter kilogram of peeled walnuts in the oven, chop in a meat grinder or with a blender, mix with the same amount of powdered sugar and vanilla. Take a pack of butter and melt in a separate container. For the syrup, mix a cup of runny honey with half a cup of hot water.
Collecting baklava
Prepare a high-sided pan or skillet by greasing a bowl with vegetable oil. Divide the risen dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll out alternately and, having greased the layer laid in the form with butter, sprinkle with the filling. Calculate in advance so that it is enough for 11 layers. Lubricate the last layer of dough with an egg, cut the baklava into rhombuses, cutting through not to the bottom, let it stand in a warm place. Bake until browned. Pour the syrup over the finished baklava while it is still hot.
