In our article we want to talk about how a Japanese rice omelet is prepared. In general, in Japan, this dish is prepared in two variations. The traditional national food is called omurice. And an omelet cooked in a Western style is called "omuretsu". The Japanese dish consists of fried rice drenched in an egg. Meat is often added to it, as a rule, it is chicken. Omurice is served with ketchup. The dish even has its own history. It is believed that it was first served in 1902 in a Tokyo restaurant. Cooking rice omelet
Rice omelette is quite simple, so you will quickly master its preparation. To begin with, melt the butter in a frying pan, and then fry the chili and onion in it until soft.
Chicken fillet is well washed and cut into pieces, after which we throw it to fry with vegetables. A wok is good for such purposes. Fry the chicken until white, also add chopped mushrooms. After a few minutes, you can add boiled rice. Then mix all the ingredients and season with ketchup. The products should then simmer for several minutes on the fire, after which the pan should be removed from the heat. If desired, you can add garlic, unless, of course, it will be a breakfast dish.
Next, take a clean frying pan, melt the butter on it and cook the most ordinary egg omelette on it. An interesting fact is that the Japanese do not beat eggs with a mixer or a fork, as we do. They stir them very gently with chopsticks, even when the mixture is already in the pan. As soon as the omelet is ready, put the mixture we prepared earlier in the very middle and fold it all together in the form of an envelope or roll. If you don't haveit turns out so contrived, you can just cover the rice hill on a plate with an omelet and decorate the dish with herbs, vegetables and ketchup. So our rice omelet is ready. As you can see, there is nothing complicated in its preparation, but the dish turns out to be more satisfying due to the presence of meat, rice and vegetables. It is for this reason that rice omelet can be served as an independent dish at any time.

How to cook oyakodon?
To cook a rice omelet, heat up a frying pan and pour six to seven tablespoons of sauce (soy) and fry onion sliced into thin rings on it. You need to put it in the dishes only when the sauce starts to boil. Top the onion with sugar and, stirring, cook for a couple of minutes.
Next, cut the chicken fillet into small pieces, but not too small. When cooked, the meat should remain juicy. Chicken should be put in a pan and mixed with sauce. As soon as the meat turns white, it can be turned over to the other side, it needs a couple more minutes to stew.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until smooth, but do not add s alt, because the soy sauce in which we cooked the meat is already quite s alty. egg mixturepour it into the pan with chicken so that the entire surface is covered with it. Next, cover the dish with a lid. Cook rice omelette for no more than four minutes without mixing the ingredients.
Chop green onions. We put boiled rice on a plate in the form of a slide, and put an omelet on top and sprinkle it with onion greens. The dish is served hot.
Another Japanese omelette recipe
Rice omelette (recipe with photos is given in the article) can be slightly modified by changing the components. Ketchup, rice and scrambled eggs should be unchanged. All other products can be selected to taste. Omelet goes well with sausage.
Ingredients for filling:
- Sausage - 200g
- Boiled rice - 3 tbsp. l.
- Green.

- Ketchup.
Ingredients for omelet:
- Two tablespoons of milk.
- A few eggs.
First, let's prepare the filling. Cut the sausage into pieces. Let's chop the greens. Next, lightly fry the sausage in a heated frying pan in sunflower oil, add rice and mix. Then pour ketchup, add spices and herbs. Simmer all the ingredients for a couple of minutes and remove the pan from the heat.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, adding milk. Pour the egg mixture into the heated pan and prepare the omelet. When the lower part of it sticks a little, and the upper part is still raw, you need to put the filling on one half. With the second part, using a spatula, cover the rice with sausage. Omelet needs a couple more minutesto descend. Then you can transfer it to a plate and serve, garnished with herbs and ketchup.
