Bar "Picnic" - a delicious delicacy from childhood. Crispy chocolate bar with caramel nougat, nuts and waffles was dreamed of by both girls and boys. Now this is only a small fraction of the assortment of sweets in every grocery store. But this bar is still in great demand. So why?

Manufacturer

From the very beginning, these products entered the UK markets in 1958, where they were in overwhelming demand. Describing the goods sold, the company came up with a solid slogan - "Rather a banquet than a picnic." Later, in our country, the slogan "Picnic" was created - a chocolate bar. Give in to temptation"!

Already by the year 2000, the consumer was tired of the unchanging chocolate bar and the manufacturer understood this. Sales are down, butanother trend has been created. "King Size" won over its customer again, and sales increased by 77%.

Chocolate with a relatively low price (38 g for 37 rubles) is still sold out of store shelves, although many buyers have long forgotten the advertising slogans of the selling campaign and take this sweet exclusively for its delicious taste.

It should also be noted that different versions of chocolate have different weights. It ranges from 38 to 80g.

Composition

The famous bar "Picnic" consists of:

• nut filling is peanut or walnut;
• soft caramel;
• raisin paste (or whole dried fruits);
• waffles;
• puffed rice.

That's the whole lineup. The "Picnic" bar is covered with milk chocolate icing.

There are no raisin and walnut options on sale in our country, such sweets are only available in the Australian and New Zealand markets.

There is another "Picnic" bar. The manufacturer has provided options with apple and candied lemon.

Now on the Russian market there are chocolates stuffed with peanuts or walnuts. Relatively recently, a new one appeared - "Exotic" with pieces of fruit in white chocolate glaze.

Recipe for cooking at home

Hard to believe, but this chocolate can be made at home.

Ingredients needed:

• puffed rice waffle;
• 50g walnuts or peanuts;
• 50g sugar;
• 100g milk chocolate;
• 10g butter.

How to cook:

1. First, fry the nuts in a dry frying pan, so they need to be peeled. Then chop into small crumbs and place back in the pan, but with sugar. Heat and stir until mixture caramelizes.
2. Roll the puffed rice waffle in caramel-nut mass. Place on a layer of foil and let cool thoroughly.
3. In the meantime, build a water bath to melt chocolate. Drown it with butter until you get a mass of a homogeneous consistency.
4. Using two forks, carefully dip the cooled nut-covered bar into the chocolate on all sides. Place back on foil and refrigerate. When the top layer of icing has hardened, your chocolate bar is ready to eat!

You can add white chocolate milk nougat to this recipe - melt it separately in a water bath and mix with a little powdered sugar. Drizzle this nougat on the nut bar first, let it set in the fridge before drizzling with the milk chocolate frosting.
