You need to prepare the following ingredients:
- 300 ml yogurt.
- 100g lard.
- One egg.
- 200 g onion.
- Bunch of dill.
- 600 g flour.
- Teaspoon of s alt.
- Teaspoon of soda.
- A little vegetable oil.
How to cook:
- Cut the bacon into small cubes and lightly fry until lightly browned.
- Chop the onion finely and put it in a pan with lard. Fry, stirring constantly, until golden brown. Remove from heat and cool completely.
- Pour yogurt into a deep bowl, add soda and leave for five minutes.
- Break an egg into yogurt, add s alt and mix with a fork.
- Chop the dill finely with a knife.
- Sift flour, divide into two equal parts. Pour the liquid dough base into one serving of flour and mix. Add onion with bacon, chopped dill and mix well.
- Slowly add the remaining flour and knead the dough, which should be quite soft, but not sticky to your hands.
- Cover the dough with a towel and leave for half an hour.
- Divide dough into 10 buns.
- Roll out the buns with a rolling pin to make round cakes. Prick them with a fork.
- Grease a frying pan with oil and put cakes on it.
- Fry tortillas with onions in a pan on both sides until golden brown.
Tips
For the preparation of cakes, you can take any onion: white and red onion, green, leek. To soften the taste, it is first fried until soft and transparent in oil, but not until browned. Not only fresh, but also pickled onions are put in the cakes.
Before adding green onions to the dough, you need to mash with s alt with your hands - this way it will turn out more fragrant.
