Chicken Pea Soup is quick and delicious. It is worth noting that such a dish can be served at the table both as a hearty lunch and as a light dinner. After all, the calorie content of this soup is determined by what exactly it is consumed by a person (with self-made croutons, wheat bread, or simply with fresh herbs).
How to make delicious chicken pea soup
Required ingredients:
- split peas (not canned) - 1.5 cups;
- chicken soup (one half) - 300 g;
- young small potatoes - 1-2 pieces;
- fresh medium-sized carrots - 1 pc.;
- small bulb - 1 pc.;
- ground turmeric - half a dessert spoon;
- cooking s alt - to taste;
- ground black pepper - to taste;
- laurel leaves - 2 pcs;
- sunflower oil - for sautéing vegetables.
Meat processing process
Chicken pea soup should only be made frompoultry, which is intended specifically for the broth. To do this, you need to take 300 g of meat, wash it well, clean it of all unnecessary elements, and then cut it into portions (so it will cook faster).

Dry split peas should be sorted out (if necessary), put in a colander and washed well under warm running water, constantly rubbing with your hands. Next, you need to place it in a bowl, pour plain water and leave for at least 1 hour. During this time, the bean product will soften slightly and cook much faster on the stove.

Pea soup with chicken involves the use of not only the named ingredients, but also various vegetables. Thus, it is required to wash small new potatoes, medium carrots and a small onion, after which they must be peeled and cut into cubes (it is advisable to grate the carrots).

The processed chicken should be placed in a saucepan along with the soaked peas, and then pour them with drinking water, add s alt, broken bay leaves, bring to a boil, remove the foam and simmer for about 40 minutes.
Pea soup with chicken will turn out much tastier and more aromatic if you add browned vegetables to it. To do this, put grated carrots and chopped onions in a pan. They must be flavored with s alt, sunfloweroil and black pepper. Saute all products preferably until a brownish crust appears.
The final stage in cooking
