And if you consider that ready-made pastries are very tasty, then you can ask yourself: "Is it worth baking something else at all?" Even a child can handle the preparation of bagels, because there is nothing complicated in the proposed recipes.

Fingers with jam

This variant of shortbread with jam is one of the best, because the ingredients are publicly available, the cooking process is nowhere easier, and the taste is so stunning that you fall in love with it from the first time. How to cook these wonderful bagels?

It is necessary to melt 200 grams of margarine in a steam bath and mix with the same amount of sour cream. Then, in a separate bowl, mix 400 grams of flour and 1 teaspoon of soda(without a slide), combine the flour mixture with sour cream and knead the dough. Try not to knead it for a long time, because this is shortbread dough, and it categorically does not like this process. Wrap the ball of dough in polyethylene and leave for an hour in a cool place, preferably in the refrigerator.

Forming and baking

To give the liver the shape of bagels with jam, you need to roll out the dough with a layer no more than 3 millimeters thick and cut into small triangles of an elongated shape. On the wide edge of each piece, put a little thick jam and roll towards the narrow edge: you get a nice bagel. Put the resulting cookies on a dry baking sheet and bake in the oven until a soft golden color. The oven temperature is 200 degrees. Sprinkle finished products still warm with powdered sugar. They go great with hot cocoa.

Another version of the test

This way of making jam bagels is just as easy, but the finished product tastes completely different thanks to the presence of eggs in the dough.

To prepare it, mix 4 eggs and a glass of milk, beat with a whisk or a mixer until light foam, pour in 200 grams of butter melted in a steam bath. Pour 400 grams of granulated sugar and mix the mass thoroughly. Add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla and the same amount of soda to the dough. Stirring constantly, add 600 grams of flour. Knead the dough and let it lie down for half an hour under a napkin in a warm place. Next, form small bagels, as indicated in the recipe above, and bake in the oven attemperature of 200 degrees, being careful not to overexpose them, otherwise they will not be as soft as expected. Roll the finished products in cocoa powder, which will give the cookies an interesting look and a light chocolate flavor.

Yeast dough rolls

Actually, this is a bun shaped in a special way, so yeast bagels with jam are made from the same dough that is usually kneaded for buns and pies.

The simplest set of products for the test looks like this:

  • 0, 5 liters of milk or fermented baked milk;
  • 50 grams raw pressed yeast;
  • 6 tablespoons each of butter and sugar;
  • a generous pinch of s alt;
  • vanillin for flavoring dough (to taste);
  • one kilogram of flour (perhaps a little less).

Step cooking

The dough is kneaded in a non-dough way: heat milk to a temperature of 40 degrees, dissolve s alt and sugar, as well as yeast in it. Wait until the mass begins to bubble (about 10 minutes) and then pour in half the portion of flour mixed with vanilla. Mix thoroughly and continue kneading the dough, adding flour in small portions. Lubricate the table with oil and actively knead the dough for 10 minutes, achieving plasticity and smoothness. Next, put a lump of dough in a deep bowl, cover with a towel and leave warm so that the dough comes up. When the lump doubles in size, you can start forming the bagels.

To do this, roll out the dough into a layer 5 mm thick and cutelongated triangles (about 10-15 cm long). Put jam on the wide edge, wrap the corners inward (so that the filling does not leak out during baking) and roll the layer into a bagel. Spread them on a baking sheet, greased with oil, slightly bending the edges towards the center to make a semicircle. When all the bagels with jam are formed, leave them to proof in a warm place: they should increase in size due to the active work of the yeast. Then, using a silicone brush, brush the surface of the products with a beaten egg and bake at a temperature of 220 degrees in the oven until cooked.

Microwave puff pastry

When there is absolutely no time for long preparations, and the family ardently desires homemade baking, you can make a "knight's move": bake bagels in the microwave from ready-made puff pastry. It only takes three ingredients:

  • 400 grams of puff pastry;
  • thick jam, preferably apple or plum;
  • powdered sugar for sprinkling ready-made bagels with jam.

In the photo, these pastries look amazing, reminiscent of mini-croissants, in fact, they are. Defrost the dough on the table, roll out no thicker than 2 millimeters (baking will be much tastier) and cut into long elongated triangles, no more than 8 centimeters wide. Put a lump of jam on the edge, wrap the corners inward towards each other and, starting from the wide edge, roll the triangle into a roll, forming a neat bagel. Put them on a dry baking sheet and generously sprinkle with cold water so that the dough becomes maximum when baking.crispy and better stratified.

Bake in the microwave for 1.5-2 minutes at 600W and sprinkle with powdered sugar mixed with vanilla or cinnamon while still hot. The whole cooking process takes no more than 20 minutes, which is truly a record for such a dish. Satisfied households will give a standing ovation!

Baking cottage cheese

But the recipe (with photo) of bagels with curd dough jam will appeal to lovers of soft pastries. The dough turns out so tender and tasty that you wonder how versatile cottage cheese can be. What you need for this:

  • 400 grams of cottage cheese and flour each;
  • two eggs;
  • 150 grams of sugar;
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda and vanilla sugar each;
  • 220 grams of good quality butter or margarine.

How to cook?

To make it easier to prepare the dough, you need to leave the cottage cheese and butter in a warm room for a couple of hours - they will become soft and will be easily affected. Using a blender, mix butter and cottage cheese into a uniform mass, add sugar and eggs, as well as vanilla. Mix thoroughly and combine with flour, previously mixed with soda. Knead a soft, loose dough, which should be left under a towel for 40 minutes: it should ripen. Next, roll out the dough into a layer 5 mm thick and cut out circles using a regular plate. Then we form bagels with jam: cut each circle into 6-8 segments from the center to the edge and put a little jam on the wide edge. It should bethick, otherwise, when baking, it runs the risk of leaking out and spoiling the appearance of baking.

We roll up the bagels and place them on a baking sheet at some distance from each other, because the dough will almost double in size during baking. Bake in the oven until golden brown at 190 degrees. Ready-made bagels, if desired, can be sprinkled with powdered sugar or pour over chocolate icing. Let them cool down a bit and you can serve them with tea to the household.

In conclusion, you can praise many more times about the taste of baked according to any recipe from the proposed bagels, but as the well-known proverb says: “It is better to see once (in this case, try it) than to hear many times.”
