But this is not the only difference between our today's baking, the dough recipe will also be different. We will prepare a combo of shortcrust and yeast dough in one dessert. Interesting? Try both!

Fruit Jam Bagels

Surely many housewives have a couple of jars of their favorite jam, jam oranother confiture. For our recipe, any will do. Instead of jams, you can also use berries (frozen or fresh), grated with sugar until smooth.

Particularly good are shortbread cookies "Rogaliki" stuffed with blueberries, blueberries, currants or cherries. We decided on the taste of our dessert, now let's analyze the recipe itself.

Ingredients for shortcrust pastry

All the necessary products are available for your wallet. You will need:

  • two incomplete glasses of flour;
  • two packs of margarine or butter;
  • water - 150 ml;
  • s alt - a quarter teaspoon;
  • soda - half a teaspoon;
  • vinegar - big spoon.

Products are pre-prepared and measured in the right proportions. You can start making bagels. A recipe with a photo will help you easily cope with this task.

Cooking process

Flour must be sifted in advance - so the dough will turn out more tender and light. Melt butter or margarine in a large bowl. This can be done in a water bath or use a microwave. Add the following ingredients to the softened butter: s alt, baking soda, apple cider vinegar and water. Do not be alarmed - due to the addition of these components, a chemical reaction will occur (an "effervescent foam" will appear). Mix everything thoroughly until smooth.

Now you can gradually add the sifted flour, kneading the dough well with your hand. Itshould be thick and roll into a ball. However, be careful not to overdo the flour. You don't want to eat tight, very dense cookies, do you?

Sprinkle a table or a large cutting board with flour and put our soft dough in the middle. We divide it into several small parts (4-5). Each must be rolled out in the form of a circle to a thin layer about 5 mm thick. And then cut into triangles.

Shaping and baking bagels

It's time for stuffing. In the middle, closer to the base of each triangle, lay out a teaspoon (with a slide) of the filling - jam, jam or grated berries. The lower corners of the triangle need to be folded to the middle, and then roll our figures into bagels, while pressing the dough tightly. Make sure that the filling does not peek out, otherwise the jam may leak out during the baking process.

A hot cocoa bite with these tender crumbly cookies will brighten up a cold winter evening while watching your favorite movies.

Walnut biscuits "Rollies"

The recipe for this dessert is essentialdifferent from the previous one. The main difference is the dough, in this case it will be sandy-yeast. Such an unusual combination will allow you to get an amazing result - the bagels will be lush and soft, but at the same time slightly crumbly. And the nut filling with its unusual aroma will not leave anyone indifferent. Let's start with the test.

How to make shortcrust-yeast dough?

First, prepare all the necessary components:

  • 3-3, 5 cups flour;
  • 250 grams of baking margarine or butter;
  • 120-130ml room temperature milk;
  • large spoonful of sugar;
  • 25 grams yeast (fresh);
  • egg.

In a separate bowl, mix the yeast with sugar and mix thoroughly. Gradually add warm milk. Beat with a whisk until smooth. On a cutting board, chop the flour with butter so that you get a fine crumb. Add the egg, mix everything well. Now we combine both mixtures into one, knead the dough and roll it into a lump. It must be covered with a lid / cling film and put away for an hour in a cold place. In the meantime, let's get on with the stuffing.

What's inside?

We have already decided that our cookies will be with nuts. Choose any to your taste. Walnuts, hazelnuts or peanuts are best. These nuts have a fairly pronounced taste, which is what we need. The amount depends on whether you like a lot of toppings or a little. Our amount of dough will take about 1-1.5 cups. Nuts must be roasted in advance and chopped with a blender or rolling pin.

We will also need two egg whites, a pinch of s alt and a glass of sugar. First, beat egg whites with s alt. Then add nuts and sugar. Here is the finished filling. If desired, raisins, dried apricots and any other dried fruits can be added to the nuts. Believe me, this combination will not disappoint you.

Final stage

We take out the dough, divide it into several parts and roll it out in the same way as described in the first recipe. Further cookies "Rogaliki" are formed in exactly the same way as shortbread. Sprinkle them on top with cinnamon mixed with sugar. Sand and yeast bagels are also baked for about half an hour at a temperature of 190-200 degrees.

Dessert is a delight

Just look how appetizing the bagels look in the photo. You can't imagine tastier and more elegant cookies! By the way, they are stored for a long time, so you can prepare a large portion in advance and enjoy them all week. Place the cooled bagels in a glass jar with a tight lid and place in the kitchen or living room. This dessert will fill your home with pleasant aromas and delight family and friends who drop by for a cup of tea.
