- 300g fern;
- 1 onion;
- 3 garlic cloves;
- 2 tbsp. l. vegetable oil;
- 2 tbsp. l. soy sauce;
- 1 tbsp l. chili sauce;
- 1\2 tsp coriander seed;
- a pinch each of red and black pepper.
The salad has another name - "in Korean", because this appetizer is widespread in Korea, and also has a spicy spiciness.
Here's how to cook it:
- The s alted fern must be washed, poured with cold water and left to soak for 6-7 hours. Change the water every two hours. This is necessary in order to get rid of excess s alt. The fern absorbs s alt well, so be sure to soak it.
- Cut the fern into 3-4 cm pieces.
- Chop the garlic and onion, fry the onion until golden brown. Pour spices into a hot frying pan, for a bright aroma it is better to grind them in a mortar yourself. Add fern to them and heat it for 5-7 minutes (stirring constantly).
- Reduce heat, add soy sauce and simmer covered for 2-3 minutes.
- Garlic and chili sauce are added last. Mix the fern and leave for 1.5-2 hours under the lid to infuse. Can be left overnight. It will be soaked in sauce, spices and the aromatic smell of garlic.
Saladfrom s alted fern is ready. Before serving, do not forget to decorate the dish. A slice of lemon would be nice. Salad can be served separately, or with meat as a side dish. Try it with sweet and sour chicken.
Far East Fantasy
Delicious fern salad is obtained in combination with carrots. It is very rich, nutritious and flavorful. What do we need to prepare it:
- 550g fern;
- 1 large carrot;
- 4 garlic cloves;
- 5 tbsp. l. soy sauce;
- 0.5 tsp pepper mix;
- 0.5 tsp hot red pepper;
- a pair of green onion feathers;
- a little vegetable oil.
The next salad we will prepare not from s alted fern, but from fresh. If you have not had experience with fern before, it is better to buy it in dried or s alted form. Soak a fresh fern in s alt water for a day. Don't forget to change the water.
Boil the soaked fern (8 minutes over medium heat) and cool.
The finished ingredient can be frozen. Or you can put it in our future delicious fern salad.
Cut the onion into thin half rings. Three peeled carrots on a Korean carrot grater. S alt it, squeeze it out and put it in a bowl.
Fry the onion in a preheated pan until translucent. Cut the fern into 5 cm pieces and add to the onion. Fry (stirring constantly) for five minutes. Add carrots. Put the minced garlic on top andspices.
In a separate frying pan, heat the vegetable oil and pour over the salad. Add soy sauce and taste. S alt if necessary, but don't overdo it, as the salad will be much more s alty when cold.
Put the finished fern salad in a salad bowl, cover with a lid and leave for a couple of hours in a cool place.
Before serving, garnish the salad with finely chopped green onions.
Squid Fern
Very delicate fern salad is obtained with squid, it is light and incredibly tasty. Let's get to know the new recipe soon.
List of ingredients:
- 100g fern;
- 100g squid;
- 1 pickle;
- s alt, chopped herbs, pepper;
- 3 tbsp. l. sour cream or mayonnaise for dressing.
It's amazing how incompatible things go together, but squid fern is a really tasty snack that you should try.
Clean the squids, rinse and pour over with boiling water. This will help to quickly remove the skin from them and rinse from other marine life that have not retired after technical processing. Rinse them under water again.

In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients, s alt the salad to taste, add pepper and other favorite spices. Fern salad is ready.
