In general, the calorie content of chicken eggs is not particularly high. On average, in its raw form, it contains about 80 kilocalories. If it is subjected to heat treatment, this indicator can either increase or decrease. Boiled chicken egg is considered the most dietary. Its average calorie content will be about 50 kcal. If the product is cooked soft-boiled, it will rise to 70kcal. And, of course, a fried egg, like any other dish, will be as nutritious as possible (125 kcal).
Most of the important elements are contained in the yolk. Its energy value is quite high and can reach 360 kcal per 100 g of mass. The calorie content of chicken egg protein is much lower. Even when fried, it contains no more than 50 kcal per 100 g. For this reason, people who avoid eating fat and watch their figure are advised to give up yolks.
On the other hand, if we consider the whole egg as a food product, then the benefits in it are much greater than the harm. Its composition can be called quite balanced, and the amount of cholesterol in the yolk is not so high as to categorically refuse to use it. Nutritionists recommend eating 4 eggs per week (preferably boiled).
American scientists from the University of Louisiana, after many years of experience with the use of this product, came to an interesting conclusion. It turns out that the calorie content of chicken eggs is such that they can be recommended for daily use as a dietary product. The study involved 2 groups of those women who wanted to lose weight. At the same time, participants in the first group ate 2 chicken eggs (boiled) for breakfast daily, and the second group ate other dietary products. The dynamics of weight loss in the former was significantly higher than in the latter. This phenomenon is due to the fact that people who were on the “egg diet” received everything necessary forelements of the body with a minimum number of calories, while others were forced to benefit from more fatty foods, which prevented successful weight loss.
Scientists also drew public attention to the fact that in modern agriculture, chickens are grown using a different technology than, for example, in the last century. Birds eat in a completely different way, and therefore the calorie content of chicken eggs has decreased, as well as the content of cholesterol in the yolk. So all the information about the dangers of this product for the body is nothing more than a myth.
If we consider eggs from a culinary point of view, then their importance can hardly be overestimated. Without this product, it is impossible to imagine most salads; it is indispensable in the manufacture of pastry or soufflé. Therefore, the calorie content of chicken eggs is negligible compared to their benefits. The main thing is to use in moderation. However, this applies to absolutely any product.
