Pie "Snail" - an original pastry that will fill your home with an amazing aroma. We offer several recipes with various ingredients. The choice is yours.
Pie "Snail" with cherries
Required ingredients:
- kefir - 250 ml;
- vanilla;
- ¼ cup of powdered sugar;
- 0.4 kg cherries (seeds removed);
- sugar – ½ cup is enough;
- 150g piece of butter;
- baking powder - 1 tsp;
- flour (any kind) - 3 cups.
Cooking process
- In a deep bowl, pour the flour in the right amount. Add vanilla and butter. S alt. We add kefir. Mix the ingredients with a fork. What's next? Knead the dough by hand. It should be soft and elastic. In this case, you do not need to remove the dough on the middle shelf of the refrigerator. Immediately roll it into a layer, the thickness of which should not exceed 3-4 mm. This is very important.
- Cut the dough into strips. The width of each of them is 6-7 cm.
- Rinse fresh cherries with tap water. Be sure to remove the bones. Arrange the berries onthe middle of each strip of dough. It turns out a kind of "snake". Sprinkle the cherry with sugar.
- Gently pinch the strips. Now they look like thin rolls.
- We take a baking dish. Coat the bottom with oil. Lay the strips with sweet cherry filling in a snail shape.
- Preheating the oven. Recommended temperature - 180 °C. We send the form together with the contents to the oven. Pie "Snail" (with cherries) will be baked for 40 minutes.
- Remove the finished dessert from the mold. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. If desired, it can be replaced with coconut flakes. We wish everyone a pleasant tea party!

Grocery set:
- 200 g each of hard and soft cheese;
- one egg;
- sesame seeds;
- 0.5kg puff pastry (sold in the store);
- mayonnaise - enough for 3 tbsp. l.
Detailed instructions:
Step number 1. Grind hard cheese (for example, "Russian") on a grater. As long as we put it aside. Soft cheese (let it be "Adyghe") is also grated. What are the next steps? We combine two types of cheese. Drizzle with mayonnaise. Stir.
Step number 2. Defrost puff pastry. It is advisable to take a yeast-free product. On a table sprinkled with flour, roll out the dough into a rectangular layer. Then cut it into long strips (width - 6 cm).
Step 3. Back to the bowl of cheese. We lay out the prepared filling strictly in the center of each strip, along its entire length. We make rollslifting the edges to the middle and fastening them at the top.
Step number 4. Cover the baking sheet with parchment. We spread the "rolls", moving from the center, in a spiral. The result is a snail. It remains to smear all this with whipped yolk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Step 5. The Snail Pie will be baked in the oven at 180°C. This process will take half an hour. Fragrant dessert with a golden crust can be served.
Extra
- Don't be afraid to experiment with different kinds of cheese. The more unusual combinations for you, the better. For the preparation of this pie, the use of cottage cheese is allowed. Just don't forget to add some s alt to it.
- Sesame seeds can be replaced with grated cheese. Sprinkle them over the cake for 5-7 minutes. until the end of the baking process. A golden crust will be provided.
- Snail pie can be made with different fillings: spinach, sautéed mushrooms, chicken and fresh berries.
Recipe for multicooker
Product List:
- two eggs,
- 1 tsp each of s alt and sugar;
- refined oil - 4 tbsp. l.;
- glass of milk (medium fat);
- flour - 750g
For stuffing:
- 0.6 kg beef liver;
- yeast - 10g will suffice;
- medium bulb;
- 100 gram piece of butter;
- one carrot;
- favorite spices;
- 50g hard cheese.
Practical part
- First, let's dissolve the yeast using warm milk. Thatadd sugar to the dishes. Let the mixture brew for 10-15 minutes.
- In the bowl where the yeast is, break one egg. S alt. We add 2 tbsp. l. oils. Stir.
- Now add the flour. Let's start kneading the dough. When it is ready, cut into several pieces. Each of them should be rolled out. Leave the pieces for a while so that they rise a little.
- Let's do the stuffing. We wash a piece of liver in running water. Be sure to remove large veins and films. Cut the liver into large pieces.
- Chop the washed and peeled carrots with a grater. Onions can be diced.
- Pour 1 tbsp. l. oils. We spread the pieces of the liver, chopped carrots and onions. S alt. Sprinkle with your favorite spices. We find in the menu and start the "Extinguishing" mode. Recommended time - 60 min. As soon as the beep sounds, transfer the liver and vegetables to a blender for subsequent grinding. The result is a paste. Add a piece of butter to it. Turn on the blender again.
- One part of the dough is rolled into a layer. We spread the liver pate on it. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Carefully roll the filling into the dough. We fasten it around the edges. You need to make 3 of these sausages.
- Lubricate the multibowl with the remaining amount of oil (1 tbsp.). We spread the sausages, wrapping them around the circumference - from the center to the edges. The surface of our cake must be greased with an egg.
- Pie "Snail" will be 40 min. prepare in the "Baking" program. That's not all. We take it out, turn it ruddy side up. Lubricateegg. Place in a steam basket. Put it back in the multicooker. We start the “Baking” mode for another 20 minutes. At the end of the process, turn the cake over, put it on a flat plate. Cut into pieces. It remains to invite members of your family to the table.
