If you are tired of the notorious cabbage soup and borscht, then you can diversify the menu with hunting soup. This is a hearty and nutritious dish that is popular in two variations. It is sometimes called "Shulemka", but "Shulemka" is a classic hunting soup, the recipe of which will please any housewife. We suggest cooking both options to choose the one that suits you best.
Classic "Shulemka"
The hunting soup recipe is quite simple. It is called hunting because it is prepared from game and most often in nature. But few of us walk around with a gun at the ready and with a carcass of a wild boar under our arm, so we will cook the soup from ordinary pork bought at the nearest store.
In general, "Shulemka" came to our tables from Ukraine. It takes about an hour to cook it, and the dish is not very high in calories - about 35 calories per 100 grams.

Forcooking four servings of hunting soup recipe requires a simple set of products that every home has:
- 200 grams of meat (preferably fatty pork).
- 3 large potatoes.
- Large carrot.
- Onion head.
- A tablespoon of tomato paste.
- 2 liters of water.
- 3 garlic cloves.
- Teaspoon of s alt.
- Half teaspoon ground black pepper.
Pour water into a saucepan and put on high heat. We cut the meat into large pieces and fry until a crust forms in a hot frying pan. As soon as the water boils and the pork is fried, we send it to boiling water (without oil, it should remain in the pan). We clean the potatoes and, cutting into large cubes, send them to fry in the oil on which the meat was just cooked. When the potatoes turn golden brown, they can be sent to the meat in boiling water. After cleaning, cut the carrots into circles, onions into half rings, put them in the same pan and fry until the vegetables become soft. Add s alt, pepper, tomato paste and crushed garlic. Stir fragrant frying and after a minute add to the pan. Cover with a lid and keep on medium heat for a couple of minutes. Some people add a whole chili pepper, which is pierced in several places, for piquancy.
Is it true that the recipe for hunting soup is quite simple? Shulemka should be served hot, with fresh herbs and black bread. Do not interfere with homemade pickles anda glass of something intoxicating.
Recipe for hunting soup with sausages
The second option is more modern: the dish contains smoked hunting sausages. It is even more satisfying, it should be served with an impromptu skewers of fried sausages, white bread and leek circles. The dish turns out to be fatty and very nutritious - purely masculine.
We'll need
- 200 grams of smoked loin.
- Large carrot.
- 200 grams of hunting sausages.
- Celery stalk.
- Large onion.
- 4 large potatoes.
- White and red canned beans in a can.
- 3 garlic cloves.
- Bay leaf.
- Suneli hops, coriander, s alt and pepper to taste.
Pour 3.5 liters of water into a saucepan and put on fire. Cut the loin into cubes and dip into the pan to boil the broth. Chop potatoes into chunks and add to bowl. Grate carrots and fry with chopped celery. Separately, fry chopped onions and sausages in oil. When the potatoes in the soup are almost ready, add the fried vegetables, onions with sausages and beans from cans (without liquid) to the broth. Then comes the turn of spices - they should be added according to your own preferences, but without a bay leaf, nowhere.
When the soup is ready, add crushed garlic to it, turn off the heat and cover with a lid to infuse the dish. Before serving, remove the bay leaf so that it does not give the broth bitterness.
