Potato baked with sour cream at home
Clean and prepare vegetables:
- cut potatoes into round centimeter-thick slices,
- cut the onion into half rings and disassemble into straws,
- finely chop the green onion feathers.
Make sour cream sauce:
- mix sour cream with mayonnaise,
- peeled garlic cloves into their mixture through a crusher,
- add s alt and ground black pepper and stir.
Grease a baking sheet with high sides with vegetable oil. Place the potato slices in a single layer on the bottom of the baking sheet.
Spread them with half of the sour cream and mayonnaise sauce, sprinkle with onion straws. Place a second layer of potato slices over the onion and brush well with the remaining mixture.
Cover a baking sheet with potatoes in foil and place in the oven at 180 - 200 degrees. After 20 - 30 minutes, remove the foil and return to the oven for another 5 minutes until golden brown.
Fragrant potatoes with sour cream in the ovenready.
Sprinkle with green onion and serve directly on the baking sheet.
Country-style baked potatoes in sour cream
For cooking potatoes with rustic sour cream in the oven, the same ingredients are used as in the previous version. But mayonnaise is excluded, and green onions are replaced with dill. It is recommended to use fat sour cream, and rustic cream is best.
For this recipe, cut the potatoes into wedges.
Chop the onion into cubes.
In a frying pan in a well-heated vegetable oil, put the garlic cloves, cut lengthwise, and fry them until brown. Then discard the garlic.
Dip the potato wedges and chopped onion into the garlic butter. Fry potatoes on all sides until golden brown, and onions until golden.
Place the slices in a greased dish. Add a small amount of water and put in the oven for 5 minutes. S alt the sour cream, add ground black pepper, mix and pour over the potatoes. Bake for another 20 minutes at 180 degrees.

To the above list of ingredients, add 150 - 200 g of hard cheese. Grate the cheese on the coarse side of the grater into a separate bowl.

Place the potatoes in the prepared baking sheet, cover with foil and keep in the oven for about 20 - 30 minutes at a temperature of 180 - 200 degrees.
After the specified time, remove the foil, sprinkle the potatoes with cheese and put in the oven for another 5 minutes.
When the crust is browned, remove the pan from the oven and serve.
Potatoes baked in sour cream "under the covers"
Besides the main list of ingredients, for this recipe you will need half a fresh head of cabbage or 300 g of sauerkraut.
If using sauerkraut, rinse with cold water.
Chop the cabbage into thin strips and blanch for at least 5 minutes in boiling water. S alt the water for fresh cabbage.
After the cabbage becomes soft, drain the water, mix the cabbage with 100 ml of sour cream or mayonnaise and crushed garlic cloves.
