It is believed that the famous Swedish vodka was created by entrepreneur Lars Olsson Smith. He was born in 1836 in the south of Sweden. From childhood, the boy was smart and bright. Having learned the basics of trade, at the age of 15 he helped manage the store, and at 18 he was already in charge of large-scale production. Having partially borrowed the name of the drink known in those years, the enterprising young man created a new product and named it Absolut (vodka).

The manufacturer has improved the technological processin such a way that the drink was practically unmatched. Smith became a real "vodka king". But this was not enough for the persistent industrialist. He wanted to break through the city's monopoly and began to independently sell products outside of Stockholm. Very soon, Lars went international and earned a fortune. But fate decreed otherwise, and the big businessman died a beggar.

His work was continued by Lars Lindmark, who managed to conquer America with the help of the legendary drink. A little later, in 2008, the Swedish government, which was, in fact, the owner of the company, sold the entire block of shares to the French Ricard. And now he owns the famous Swedish brand.

New product

Recently, a new product appeared on store shelves - Absolut honey melon and lemon vodka. In the company's price lists, it is listed as Absolut Exposure. A very interesting combination of lemon and honey melon gives the product a special taste. The product is available in 1 liter bottles. To attract a wider range of customers, the well-known Swedish artist Johan Renck worked on the design of new products. He decided to radically change the look of an ordinary bottle and place photos of the famous supermodel and actress Lydia Hurst on it.
