When you cook chicken breast in the oven, the dish often turns out dry, and you need to prepare a sauce for it. And this is extra work. There is a very simple recipe for chicken rolls with cheese. This dish will appeal not only to adults, but also to children. Do not confuse chicken rolls with chicken Kiev, these are different dishes. They do not need breading, they do not need to be fried in a large amount of oil.

Ingredients for our dish

  • Chicken breasts - 4 pieces.
  • Soft Butter - 120g
  • Mayonnaise - 3 tbsp
  • Garlic - three cloves.
  • Fresh greens - several bunches.
  • Hard cheese - 300g
  • Spices to taste.
  • Frying oil.

Method of making chicken rolls withcheese

Fillet preparation. Before you start cooking our dish, you must first wash the chicken fillet. If you have a whole breast with bone and skin, then you need to carefully separate the bone and remove the skin. Then cut the fillet into thin layers. After that, the meat must be beaten off on both sides. Sprinkle spices on each side when beating. To make the cleaning process require less effort, the fillet can be covered on top with cling film or a bag. Your pieces should be thin, but be careful not to tear or the filling will leak out. We put the beaten fillet in a bowl and cover with a lid so that the meat marinates a little. Set the bowl aside.

Cooking our own chicken rolls

We take the marinated fillet out of the bowl and lay it on the surface of the table. In general, it turns out 8-10 chops. Now we take the first piece and put a small amount of our filling on one of its edges. After carefully wrapping the filling, forming a roll. If you put a large amount of cheese filling, then it can come out and everything will flow out during cooking. We fasten each end with small wooden skewers. If not, a simple toothpick will do. The first chicken fillet roll is ready. We do the same with the rest of the chops.

Put a frying pan on the stove and pour oil into it. When it is hot, put the chicken rolls there and fry for a few minutes on each side. Do not fry until golden, otherwise the meat will be overdried.

While the meat is fried, turn on the oven and heat it up to 180 degrees. Turn off the gas and put the rolls on the board, then slowly remove the toothpicks from them. This must be done carefully so that the filling does not fall out.

In order to bake our dish, we need a deep baking dish. We spread the chicken rolls in a mold and grease them with mayonnaise, and then sprinkle liberally with cheese. Put the baking dish in the oven and bake for 15 minutes. This time is enough for the cheese to melt and the dish to be ready. When the cheese has a golden crust, turn off the oven and take out the finished dish. Do not leave chicken rolls in the oven, as it takes a long time to cool down after turning it off, and the remaining heat will dry out yourcreation. It is better to cover the form with a lid or foil.
