If you once again decide to arrange a fish day, which is very useful for the body, then cook cod. This fish has a delicate texture, and in combination with some ingredients it becomes simply divine. You can cook it in different ways. Braised cod is one option, quick and easy. Every housewife should have such a recipe at hand.

Easy recipe

To start, the easiest recipe with a minimum set of products. But this does not mean that the dish will turn out ordinary. The aroma and taste of this culinary creation is simply magnificent. You will need 500 grams of cod fillet, two medium onions, three small carrots, a set of spices (bay leaf, pepper, s alt), sunflower oil, vinegar and a little flour for breading. Cut the fish fillet into pieces of medium size. Cod stewed in too small portions will not look presentable.

Then we bread each piece in flour (not forgetting to s alt and pepper) and fry in a pan with the addition of fat (vegetable oil). We cut the carrots and onions and three on a grater, put them in a bowl with a thick bottom anda small amount of oil. Stew vegetables, adding bay leaf and pepper. After 10-15 minutes, when the vegetables are almost ready, pour a spoonful of vinegar into them and put a spoonful of tomato paste. We mix everything. Put the fried fish on top of the vegetables and simmer everything together for about 6-9 minutes. The dish is ready. First, stewed cod is laid out on a plate, and vegetables are placed on top. You can use any greenery for decoration.

Sour cream gives the fish even more tenderness, so these two ingredients are very often combined. Cod stewed with onions is very fragrant and tasty. For cooking, take a kilogram of cod, two onions, 250 grams of fat sour cream, flour for breading, some fresh herbs, vegetable oil and spices. We cut the fillet into portioned pieces and dry thoroughly so that a beautiful crust is obtained when frying. Sprinkle the fish with s alt and pepper and leave for a while. Peel the onion and cut into half rings.

Then fry it in vegetable oil until a beautiful, golden color. Put it on a plate and set aside. Now let's start frying the fish. We do this in the usual way, breading it in flour. After that, we transfer the fish to a bowl with a thick bottom and cover with onions on top. Pour everything with sour cream and simmer for about 15 minutes. Fire must be kept to a minimum. Braised cod is served with any side dish.

Cod in dill sauce

This dish is more original, but not difficult to prepare. It will take 600 grams of cod (fillet), 30 grams of flour, 40 grams of oilcream, 125 ml cream, 50 ml white wine, 100 ml meat broth, a bunch of fresh dill, a little parsley and spices. Dry the fillet and cut into portioned pieces. Finely chop the greens. Heat the cream and broth in a separate bowl. Melt the butter in a saucepan and fry the flour in it.

Then pour the warmed broth and cream into it. Do this slowly, constantly stirring with a whisk. Next, pour in the wine and cook the sauce for about 7 minutes. Now it must be s alted and seasoned with spices. You can add some sugar. Lastly, add the chopped herbs. Put the pieces of fish in the sauce, cover with foil or a lid and simmer for about 5 minutes until cooked. Braised cod goes well with potatoes or rice.

Stewed cod in a slow cooker

For quick cod cooking, you can use a slow cooker. Take two onions, two carrots, 700 grams of fish, oil and spices. We cut the vegetables and fry in the stewing mode for about 5 minutes. Then lay the fillet pieces on top, s alt and pour in a little water. We set the extinguishing mode for 30 minutes and wait for the signal of readiness. Everything is very simple and fast. Cod stewed with carrots and onions will become your favorite dish. Before serving, you can sprinkle it with herbs and sprinkle with lemon juice. Bon appetit.
