Another ingredient used in the preparation of shortcakes was condensed milk, both plain and boiled. It added some juiciness and sweet taste.

In any case, such products are very good even without the addition of cocoa, condensed milk or anything else. Their secret is that the dough becomes very fluffy when cooked, and the finished shortbread becomes tender and ruddy. But since we do not plan to return to childhood (or to the dining room), we will cook a milk cake at home.

For this we need the bare minimum of products. It is recommended to cook a couple first to make sure the proportions are correct. It doesn't matter what size or shape your milk cake is. If there are special molds, then we get them. And if there are no such houses, then any container will do. The most important thing is the content of the treat.

Before cooking, the butter should melt a little so that you can easily mix it. Beat it with the addition of baking powder, one egg and a small amount of milk. Vanillin can also be added to the milk cake. It will give the dessert a special taste and pleasant aroma, familiar from childhood. Pour flour into the resulting mixture. You should do this in parts so that you can immediately stir, otherwise lumps will appear.

Knead our dough and roll it out a little (but not too thin). Next, we take any mold and squeeze out our milk cake in the dough. Lubricate the baking sheet with vegetable oil, transfer the products to it and send it to the oven (it should be heated to about 200 degrees). We bake for 15-20 minutes.
