What could be better than a chocolate fruit basket? Making such a box is so simple that you will be surprised how you didn’t think of it before. At the same time, the surprise will be very original and will be appreciated at any party. After creating such a basket, you can fill it with anything: fruits, berries, and anything else you can imagine!

Step 1

You will need:

  1. Chocolate (dark: bitter, semi-sweet).
  2. Plastic container (any shape or size).
  3. Wide spatula for even distribution of chocolate.
  4. Basket stuffing (whole berries, chopped fruit, nuts, etc.).

Step 2

Melt the chocolate in a water bath, to do this, place the plate with it in a pot of boiling water so that the bottom of the plate is immersed in water and the edges remain outside. You can also melt it in the microwave.

It is advisable to use dark bitter or semi-sweet chocolate, not white or milk chocolate, otherwise the box will be fragile and may crack when solidified.

Step 3

How fruit baskets are formed

The recipe is quite simple - when the chocolate melts,Spread it evenly over the inside of the plastic container with a spatula or wide kitchen knife. You can use any shape and size of container.

Step 4

It is not necessary to cover the sides of the container with chocolate all the way to the top, if you want, you can choose the height for them yourself (you should figure out what your fruit basket will be in advance).

Now that you have a thick enough layer of chocolate on the bottom, tap the bottom of the container from the back to release air bubbles and smooth the surface.

Place the container in the freezer to allow the chocolate fruit basket to harden. Make sure the chocolate layer is not too thin and will not crack when you remove it. However, if necessary, you can add another layer and freeze it again. The thicker the basket, the less likely it is to crack.

Step 5

You can use the remaining chocolate by dipping strawberries or other berries and fruits into it. Just dip them into the melted mass so that it is evenly distributed.

Step 6

Place prepared berries and fruits on baking foil and decorate with confectionery sprinkles or powdered sugar. To harden, place the sheet in the freezer.

Step 7th

When the chocolate hardens, take it out of the freezer. To ensure that the fruit basket is removed without damage, turn the container upside down and gently pull the sides of the container in different directions. You will see that the places where the chocolate has separated from the walls of the container become lighter. The areas where it is still attached to the container will remain brown and should be carefully peeled off. After you release the walls, lightly press on the bottom of the container. Now, to finally remove the basket, gently pull it out, holding the walls. Be careful, hold the bottom with your hand so that it does not fall out and break. If it breaks by accident, you can glue it together using melted chocolate as well. Don't worry about minor flaws, when the fruit basket (pictured in this article) is full, they won't be noticeable.

Now fill it with berries, fruits and sweets. If the walls turned out to be high enough, you can decorate it from the outside. That's all! The product is simple in execution, but impressive!
