We will need:

  • 0, 5 cups cold water;
  • 1, 5 cups sugar;
  • food coloring (optional);
  • 1-2 drops of vinegar;
  • low pot or pan;
  • several forks or chopsticks (you'll need these for winding cotton candy).

Cooking:

  1. First of all, prepare a place for winding cotton candy. To do this, secure the forks (Chinese chopsticks) in a standing position by supporting them with something on both sides.
  2. Cooking sugar syrup. Combine sugar, water and vinegar in a saucepan and set asideslow fire. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and remove from heat. As soon as the syrup has cooled down a bit, put it back on the fire and bring to a boil. This cycle must be repeated 3-4 times. The syrup should acquire a golden hue, but in no case dark (this indicates that it is burnt). The output will be a thick mass that stretches well.
  3. Now the fun part. We take a fork in our hands, dip it in syrup and begin to drive it around pre-installed sticks.
