To assemble, you will need a makisu (a special mat for forming rolls), which is covered with cling film. The nori sheet is folded in half and cut. Lay the sheet on the mat so that the shiny side is on the bottom. On a sheet evenly distribute 4 tbsp. l. rice. There should be 1 cm of free space from the top edge, about 0.5 cm from the bottom edge. The height of the rice layer should not exceed 0.7 mm.
