A sandwich as food is simple: a slice of bread, a relatively monotonous pasta spread on top. If desired, you can add something else, cut into small slices: vegetables, meat products, cheese, fish, herbs. Very convenient when there is no time for long preparations. Also, sandwiches will perfectly diversify any table, even a festive one, if you decorate them accordingly. But what about vegetarians? Making sandwiches for them may seem like an impossible task, if you do not take into account a couple of elementary options from greens and mayonnaise.

What can I use for cooking?

In fact, there are many recipes for vegetarian sandwiches on the festive table, which will be a great decoration of the meal and a good snack before the main course. Before cooking, it is important to know what can and cannot be eaten by vegetarians:

  • No! Meat and products from it (sausage, bacon, pate, etc.), fish of any kind. Most vegetarians do not eat seafood, and only a few eat eggs.
  • Yes!Vegetables, fruits of any kind, as well as sauces, pastas and pâtés made from them. Nuts of any kind, seeds and seeds, cereal sprouts - everything goes into the process of creating a sandwich mass.
  • Vegetarians don't eat everything hard cheese, cottage cheese and cream-based sauces, it depends on their position: some do not use any products of the animal world to show that they do not torture animals for their own good. Less principled vegetarians calmly drink milk, eat cheese and cottage cheese, knowing that the animal did not suffer from this.

Grate a small fresh cucumber and squeeze out the juice, send the resulting mass to the cheese along with 1 clove of garlic. Mix thoroughly until smooth, season with s alt if necessary. This mass needs to stand in the refrigerator for an hour or two so that the ingredients “make friends”, and only then use it forcooking vegetarian sandwiches.
  • Cut black bread into small slices, brush them with vegetable oil using a silicone brush and dry them in the oven or grill. Peel and mash one avocado, adding lemon juice (2 tablespoons) and a little s alt. Using the curly nozzle of a pastry bag, deposit the resulting mass on the loaves in the form of a beautiful curl, decorate with circles of fresh cucumber and cranberries. You can also use green onions.
