It is no accident that the French specialists of the Pernod Ricard holding decided to invest in the production of wines in Georgia. The birthplace of Tamada wines is an ideal place for winemaking. Firstly, there are excellent geographical conditions, the best suited for growing grapes, and secondly, it is in this country that the thousand-year tradition of creating strong drinks is still honored.

Wine "Tamada" is produced at the largest factory "Achinebuli", which is located in the Telavi region. It is equipped with the latest technology. 26 groups of natural high-quality alcohol enter the stores from this enterprise.
GWS owns 700 hectares of vineyards, where only high quality grapes are grown. The Tamada line has more than 150 awards.
Line Description
Judging by the reviews of Tamada wines, this line can be classified as elite. There are 12 main positions, which can be conditionally divided into three categories:
- Natural semi-sweet.
- Dry, origin controlled.
- Dry varietals.
These three categories of Tamada wines are all distinguished by a specific design, which is designed specifically to emphasize the individuality of the drink.
What is Kindzmarauli
This wine is always a naturally semi-sweet red wine, no matter what brand produces it. Wine "Kindzmarauli Tamada" has a strength of 10-12% and is made from saperavi, which was collected in the Alazani Valley.
At the drinkdeep ruby color, it is characterized by moderate ductility, which creates beautiful legs on the walls of the glass. The bouquet of "Kindzmarauli" is dominated by fruity notes with pronounced pomegranate, ripe cherries, black currants and apricots.
Velvety, full-bodied taste of the wine is easily recognizable. To make Kindzmarauli, you need grapes with a sugar content of at least 22%.
The fermentation process is stopped when the wine reaches the desired degree, at this point not all sugar has turned into alcohol, which is why Kindzmarauli is called naturally semi-sweet. It contains sugar from the berry itself.
For the production of this wine, Saperavi grapes are used, which were harvested in the first twenty days of September.
As mentioned above, this is a controlled denomination of origin wine, which means that the name Kindzmarauli can carry a drink whose grapes were harvested in a certain area, in this case, in the Alazani Valley.
The rivers Alazani and Durudzhi, surrounding the valley, strongly overflow their banks in the spring, flooding the vineyards. That is why the soil in this zone is rich in minerals. Rumor has it that grapes from the Alazani Valley are rich not only in vitamins, but also in gold and silver. This microzone has its own unique microclimate, which is not repeated anywhere else in the world.
This brand officially belongs to Georgia, so no country in the world can produce wine with this name.
Georgian Saperavi
Wine "Saperavi Tamada" can only be dry red,its strength is 10-12%. In a thick, viscous taste, bright astringency is in the first place. The aroma is rich in blackcurrant, pomegranate, cherry, ripe blackberry and prunes. This is a young wine, usually its aging does not exceed a year, but in general this grape variety has a huge aging potential (up to fifty years). The peak of maturation falls on 12-15 years. Officially, a wine with this name appeared more than a century ago, back in 1886.
No wonder “saperavi” is translated as “dye”. During the tasting, it is enough to take a couple of sips of the drink, and the teeth and tongue will turn purple.
Another interesting fact: Saperavi wine has a rich dark red color, which practically does not change even when diluted with water one to one. Of course, unscrupulous manufacturers and suppliers take advantage of this. And this is another reason to buy products from large, reputable brands such as Tamada.
Wine "Pirosmani"
This drink has a very interesting history. It is named after the Georgian artist Niko Pirosmanishvili. During his lifetime, he never received recognition. But there is one interesting fact in his biography. It was about him that the song "A Million Scarlet Roses" was written. It was he who threw mountains of beautiful flowers at the feet of the woman he loved.
Wine "Pirosmani Tamada" has a deep, dark red color with ruby and garnet overflows. Its strength varies between 10.5-12.5%. The taste is dominated by black cherry, prunes and currants. Red "Pirosmani" will be a great addition to fried meat, barbecue, spicy dishes and thick sauces. It can also be served with fruits and desserts, as in the Tamada line this wine is semi-sweet, although other producers often make it semi-dry.
