This dish proves to all of us that a tasty and original dish can be obtained from a minimum of products - the main thing is to know little secrets! To prepare it, you need to take the following: one medium chicken breast (you can with a bone, or you can alreadyready-made fillet), one large pod of red bell pepper (sweet and fleshy), one head of onion, Korean carrot (about 200 grams), a little mayonnaise for dressing the Peterhof salad, a little greens (to decorate the finished one). That's all, friends!
Cooking easy
- Chicken breast needs to be boiled. By the way, if it comes to that, then try to buy not a frozen part of the carcass, but a fresh, chilled one - the dish will turn out tastier. Cook over low heat, adding a little s alt (you can, in principle, s alt and already boiled).
- While it is cooking, prepare the rest of the ingredients.
- We clean the onion and cut it into half rings. Then, to remove excessive bitterness, pour it with boiling water in a plate. Let stand for a couple of minutes and recline in a colander.
- My pepper and remove the seeds with the stalk. Then - cut into strips.
- Well, the breast is boiled. Let cool (the broth can be used for cooking first courses - it is not useful for a salad). Cut into cubes (if there is a bone, remove it first).
- Put pepper strips and onion in half rings into a salad bowl, add Korean-style carrots (if it is too juicy, drain excess moisture!), chicken breast cubes.
- Fill with mayonnaise (if you take store-bought - then high-quality, for example, Provence) and mix thoroughly.
- Advice: so that it doesn’t turn out “mushy”, you don’t need to introduce a lot of mayonnaise, but decant all the “extra” water.
- Decorate the salad "Peterhof" greens, previouslychopped (you can take dill, parsley, a little cilantro) and serve.
Smoked breast
As an option, it is very affordable, since today you can buy smoked meats in any supermarket or in a specialized store. Salad "Peterhof" (see photo above) with smoked chicken breast is prepared in the same way as in the above recipe, in the sense of the steps taken. Only instead of boiled we use the smoked part of the carcass. There is a very spicy aftertaste. This is for those who like to experiment.
Do-it-yourself mayonnaise

Korean-style carrots at home
And you can get even more confused: cook this ingredient with your own hands, believe me, there is nothing complicated about it. By the way, a special grater is very useful - for carrots. We take it the most ordinary, store-bought. Mine, clean, three. Add a small spoonful of s alt and sugar, a couple of tablespoons of vinegar (apple vinegar is perfect), vegetable oil (olive, linseed - the most useful), a pinch of hot pepper (but there is also a special seasoning - you can buy it). Tip: in order for the ingredient for the salad to be thoroughly soaked and acquire an authentic familiar taste, you need to let the carrots soak in the marinade. We mix everything and put it down the refrigerator overnight in a sealed container. After that - you can use.
