This version of the Philadelphia salad tastes (and composition) is very similar to the famous rolls of the same name, but its preparation, of course, is many times easier than painstakingly rolling boiled rice into a resistant seafood roll. In order to prepare a salad, you need to prepare the ingredients in the following quantity (the calculation is indicated for two servings of the dish):

  • Philadelphia Cheese - 150gram.
  • Basmati rice - 300 grams.
  • One avocado.
  • S alted salmon fillet - 200 grams.
  • Three fresh cucumbers.
  • 50 grams of red caviar.
  • 120 grams of soy sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar.
  • 35 grams light sesame.

To prepare a Japanese salad with salmon and cheese, first you need to boil the rice, while not making it sticky porridge, as for rolls, but on the contrary, make sure that it does not boil, while maintaining friability. To do this, before starting cooking, we wash it several times to remove small grains of starch that create mucus in the cereal, and additionally, after heat treatment, boiled rice can be washed with slightly warm water and drained into a colander. When it cools down, add vinegar and stir well to evenly distribute the liquid.

Peel the avocado and cut into small pieces, do the same with the cucumber. Salmon fillet should be cut into thin pieces, no more than one centimeter in length. Philadelphia salad is usually served in Japanese style by laying it in layers in a dish, and then turning it over onto a serving dish. You can go the simpler way and use a small detachable cake mold (no more than 15 cm in diameter), and if it is not in use, then cut off the bottom and the narrow part of the top with scissors from a two-liter plastic bottle, leaving only a wide flat part, with In this case, the height of the resulting template should be no more than 20 cm and no less than eight.

Mix all the ingredients in a salad bowl and pour over the sauce of 70 grams of vegetable oil and 2 tbsp. tablespoons of mustard (should lightly beat the mixture with a fork). Some people dress this salad with mayonnaise, but it will be too greasy and not quite aesthetically pleasing.

Vegetarian version
