This is very convenient and beautiful for any festive serving. And also incredibly tasty, tempting and original - such an appetizer on skewers will be the highlight of the feast. Of course, we are talking about canapes in various variations. Today, such dishes occupy a whole culinary special section, and in terms of serving and cutting components, they can probably compete even with confectionery. So we stock up on plastic or wooden skewers - today we will make canapes with mozzarella. And a bright and rather simple festive table will be provided for you!

A little about the dish itself

The word "canape" in Russian means "tiny, mini". That is, we mean very small sandwiches (they can be eaten at a time, sending whole to the mouth). And if you need to bite off a canape with mozzarella or other types of cheese, then this is already an ordinary sandwich. By the way, there are two types of food. In the first, fresh (or fried in oil, or dried) bread is used as the “base of the bases”. In the second, it acts asa substrate of cheese or vegetables: fresh cucumber, boiled potatoes, carrots or even beets. And in the preparation of canapés with mozzarella, it is considered one of the important points - to think over the sequence of ingredients in advance so that they are placed on a skewer beautifully and, no doubt, they are combined with each other to taste. The cooking process itself is quite simple. Shall we start?

Canape with mozzarella and tomatoes

It can not be said that the ingredients for this dish are not available, but still they will have to be looked for on sale. Mini-mozzarella balls will be used as the base into which the skewer is stuck - they are just perfect in terms of their qualities, taste and overall dimensions. And we will also need cherry tomatoes - such small, special varieties. We also take as ingredients a couple of tablespoons of olive oil, pesto, basil and s alt and pepper. In principle, in any self-respecting and customer-respecting supermarket, these products are quite affordable. If you are slowing down on the word "pesto", then you should know: this sauce (or similar to it) can actually be made with your own hands in the kitchen. To do this, put basil sprigs, a couple of cloves of garlic, a handful of peeled pine nuts into a blender, add olive oil and a little s alt - and beat until puree. Then add grated parmesan - 50 grams, and mix everything again in a blender. It will turn out no worse than store-bought (and maybe even better).

And now we diversify the composition of the products a little.

Mozzarella canape: recipes with ham and olives

You can cook a similar dish with pieces of ham, garnished with olives. To do this, take 200 grams of mozzarella (if you can’t get a mini, then take the usual one, just cut it in portions), the same amount of ham (or boiled and baked veal), a jar of pitted olives (black), a couple of sprigs of basil. Well, of course, we will need skewers. And as a base for canapes, this time you can use wheat bread toasted in a toaster, cut into small squares after.

Cooking easy

Cut the ham (ham, veal) into thin rectangular pieces - under the shape of bread. Mozzarella cut into cubes. We put cheese, ham on skewers (if a large piece, we fold it in half). Then we put a basil leaf on the skewer and complete the wholesingle olive design. And carefully stick the skewer into a piece of prepared bread. Bon appetit everyone!
