Moreover, even those of our people who have never consumed this drink still know that Cuba is in reality the officially unrecognized world capital of this alcoholic creation. For the past eight decades, the technology for creating the described alcoholic beverage has remained the same. It is worth noting that due to its sweetness in its homeland, it is considered to some extent an alcohol for women and is sometimes referred to as a "rum drink".

Initially, it is distilled according to traditional recipes of Cuban specialists from molasses, which contains an offal of sugar production and molasses. Then distilled water, as well as raisins, must be added to the Legendario rum. The resulting mixture is infused for a month. The distillery was created in 1878 in a very old building on Havana Cerro Avenue. She changed her master more than once. Then, in the middle of the 20th century, the building was taken over by a company from Puerto Rico, Trigo Hermanos, Inc. And new producers launched the production of Bocoy rum. However, already in 1946, the company's blenders managed to create another alcoholic nectar - Legendario rum.

The very first variety of this drink was Elixir de Cuba. And although it consists entirely of very high-quality rum spirits, the legislation of the Caribbean states still does not consider it to be rum because of a small fortress equal to 34%.

Initially, the company did not plan to export the created drink, but Legendario rum became so popular, despite its reputation as a feminine drink, that it began to be produced in large volumes, and the blending masters focused on creating a whole line of products of this brand.

  • Legendario Gran Reserva 15 Años is an elite premium rum. It is kept for 15 years and brought up to 40% of the fortress. The taste of the elixir combines the aromas of plum, vanilla, raisin, wood and orange.
  • Legendario Elixir de Cuba - the drink is produced from spirits, seven years old. The strength of the rum is 34%. Its taste combines caramel, fruits, and the aftertaste is even endowed with tobacco undertones.
