Cake is an essential attribute of any tea party. It is impossible to imagine a birthday without it, especially for children. Sometimes store-bought treats, but nothing tastes better than a homemade cake.
To attract the attention of guests, regardless of age, you can cook a delicious treat, such as Winnie the Pooh cake. The recipe is quite difficult to execute, but the result is worth it.
Required:
- a few spoonfuls of honey;
- water: 6 tbsp. (50 ml);
- soda: 3 tsp;
- sugar: 2 tbsp. (200g);
- drain. oil: 6 tbsp. (965g);
- eggs: 6 pieces, protein and 4 yolks;
- flour: 7 tbsp. (650g);
- condensed milk - 4 boiled and one uncooked can;
- margarine: 400g;
- baking powder, cocoa: 2 tsp each;
- powdered sugar: 350 g;
- gelatin: 20 g;
- cream: 0.5 l;
- almonds, white chocolate, toffees: 200g each;
- milk: ¼ cup.
Step by step
"Winnie the Pooh" (cake) is beginning to be made from dough and honey. Six tablespoons of honey are brought to a boil, then two cups of sugar and sixtablespoons of water, soda, a pinch of s alt and boil until the mass becomes rich brown with an orange tint. After that, remove from heat, add butter and cool.
Then add six eggs and seven cups of flour. The dough is covered and infused for about two hours.
The resulting dough must be divided into fifteen shares. Roll each piece between sheets of baking paper.
Bake the cakes in a heated oven for eight minutes, after which the baking paper is removed and the cakes made are stacked on top of each other.
Cream cake
Whisk 450 g of butter, add 3 cans of boiled condensed milk in parts and mix thoroughly. Cakes are smeared with prepared cream and soaked for eight hours.
Shortbread dough
This dough is needed to make a pot. To prepare it, margarine must be mixed with sugar, add 4 yolks, flour and baking powder without a slide. Divide the dough into 14 pieces, each rolled out between 17 cm diameter baking sheets. The edges should be cut around.
Cakes are baked in a heated oven. They come out white with slightly brown edges.
Now you need to make cream for the pot. Melt 250 g of butter, add unboiled condensed milk, vanilla, a spoonful of honey and heat, but do not boil. Remove, add gelatin, cool in the refrigerator and beat.
After that, whip 0.4 liters of cream and add to the resulting mass. The cream is ready, sand cakes are smeared with it. This should be done carefully, as they are very fragile.
The already soaked honey cake is cut in the shape of a figure-eight, thus creating a silhouette of the head and torso. The scraps are crushed in a blender and molded into ears, arms and legs. The stomach does not need to be made very round, as a pot will be attached to it.
Glaze
Add 40 g of butter to the milk and bring to a boil. Then you need to introduce powdered sugar and toffee. Cook until they dissolve. The icing is cooled and covered with a bear, after which it is put in the refrigerator to harden.
Mastic
The next product needed to cover the Winnie the Pooh cake is mastic. It is used for the bear. It is prepared as follows: boil 50 ml of water, add a pinch of s alt, 25 g of oil. After boiling, add another fifty grams of flour and cocoa. Remove, mix, add powdered sugar. The muzzle, ears, arms and legs are covered with mastic. Marzipan is used for eye proteins and tongue.
Next, beat 200 g of butter, add condensed milk and cover Winnie the Pooh with this cream using a pastry syringe, imitating fur. "Winnie the Pooh" (cake) after cooking is placed in the refrigerator.
Pot
The pot needs to be shaped. White chocolate is poured with warmed cream and boiled until a homogeneous mass is obtained. They cover the pot with it and put it in the refrigerator.
Then you need to grind the almonds, mix with powdered sugar and protein. The resulting marzipan is divided into two parts, rolled out, then transferred to the finished pot.
