- 150 ml milk;
- 200 grams of hard cheese;
- 800 grams of cabbage (not only white cabbage is suitable, but also cauliflower).
The whole process of cooking stewed cabbage in milk will take about 40 minutes. You need to prepare the dish as follows:
- White cabbage must be cut into large pieces, while cauliflower should be disassembled into inflorescences. Sprinkle with s alt and then put in a deep frying pan.
- Pour the cabbage with boiling water so that it covers the vegetable a little.
- Put the pan on low heat and cook for about 20 minutes.
- Now you need to drain all the water, pour the dish with milk and grated cheese. Spread pieces of butter on top.
- Put the container on a small fire for another 15 minutes.
If desired, the dish can be poured not with pure milk, but in combination with beaten eggs.
Cauliflower stewed in milk
This cooking method will make the vegetable more tender, soft and fragrant. For this dish you will need:
- 400g cauliflower;
- 100g cheese (optional);
- 1 medium carrot;
- 100 ml milk;
- s alt, pepper, sunflower oil to taste.
You need to cook such stewed cabbage in milk as follows:
- The head must be disassembled into inflorescences, and the larger ones must be cut into small pieces.
- Peel the carrots and cut into strips.
- Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, then put cabbage and carrots into it. Stir the mixture for a few minutes.
- Next, pour milk into the container, add spices and cover with a lid. Simmer until tender, about 7 minutes.
- After the milk has completely evaporated, sprinkle the dish with cheese, then cook for about 5 minutes more under the lid.
It can be used as a solo dish or as a side dish for any meat or fish.
