  • kg of mountain ash;
  • 300ml pure filtered water;
  • a kilogram of granulated sugar.

To get rid of possible bitterness, wash the berry, and then soak it for a day in plain water. Sort and blanch in boiling water for 10 minutes. Drainliquid, put the berries in a bowl or saucepan for cooking. From the indicated amount of water and sugar, boil the syrup, strain, pour into the mountain ash and boil for a quarter of an hour. Rowberry jam: recipe with apples

For half a kilo of berries you will need:

  • half a kilo of sweet apples;
  • 400 ml of pure drinking water.

Cook rowan jam for 8-10 minutes, then let stand for 10-12 hours, and boil again for no more than a quarter of an hour. Done - arrange in sterilized jars, roll up the lids and store in a cool and dark place.
