With the onset of the holidays, people drink various alcoholic beverages. For some, this is a way to relax, while others like the feeling of warmth flowing through the veins, each person has his own explanation. But the choice and quality of drinks should be taken as seriously as the purchase of products. Most girls, for example, choose weak alcoholic drinks, these include
wine, champagne, cocktails. Men prefer something stronger: whiskey, cognac, vodka. But for a long time, representatives of different sexes like a fortified drink created many years ago - Madera wine. Products have been manufactured since 1892. For the first time, the "experiment" with grapes was a success for a local resident of a small island, in whose honor he gave the name to his alcoholic drink. In fact, the wine is quite strong, containing only 3% sugar and 19.5 degrees of alcohol.
Wine "Madera" has its own peculiarity - any finished product has an exposure of at least five years. During this entire period, the bottle, located in an incomplete and open oak barrel, absorbs every ray of the sun. As a result, the bouquet of the drink becomes special.spicy, delicate and harmonious, and the taste changes a little and becomes full, pleasantly burning, with a hint of roasted nuts. During the exposure time, 40% of the liquid evaporates.
Quite often, Madera wine is called "Twice born by the sun". It is worth noting that all processes are carried out manually, like a hundred years ago. Due to the lack of sufficient space in the vineyards, it is unrealistic to use modern technologies. Sweet berries are usually planted at a distance of three meters from each other. Between the grapes, you can often see other crops growing. Places in the birthplace of the drink - the island of Madeira - are barely enough for vineyards and the production of a unique drink. There are many varieties of this wine, and different producers make Madeira wine. "Massandra" one of the largest vineyards and wineries is no exception. The unsurpassed drink was awarded ten gold and five silver medals for its quality and high taste.
The longer the bottle ages, the more pleasant the aroma, and with age the wine acquires notes of vanilla and cognac tones.
Producers recommend drinking an alcoholic drink before lunch or during a meal for any snack. Wine "Madera" perfectly tones, restores strength, and it is often used for medicinal purposes. According to legend, the history of the creation of the drink can be depicted as follows: wine sellers mainly transported the drink to India, but there were days when no onebought. After the goods were returned from a long trip, people began to notice that the wine became much tastier. When it was not opened for a long time, new notes appeared in the aroma, and the color changed. After this discovery, the sellers decided to keep the drink on the ship for some time, and only after that put the barrels up for sale. As a result, it became more expensive, but gained unheard of popularity. Today, Madera wine, which costs an average of fifteen dollars a bottle, is known throughout the world.
