Before, due to a shortage of food, hostesses limited themselves to preparing standard salads for the festive table. Usually they included the same dishes - Russian salad, vinaigrette and herring under a fur coat. Today, there is no need to cook these particular “luminaries”, since our market offers a huge number of different products that can add variety to the festive menu. One of the most relevant today is the Gorka salad.
As for the ingredients, they can be very diverse. The main thing is the appearance and design of the salad, and the recipe can be selected depending on your preferences.
Chicken and cabbage salad
Almost all Gorka salad recipes require meat in the dish. This dish is quite satisfying and high-calorie, so it can be used as the main one. So, the ingredients that we need to make Gorka:
- chicken fillet - 1 pc.;
- eggs - 3 pcs.;
- cheese - 150 g;
- fresh tomatoes - 3 pcs.;
- Beijing cabbage (white) - 300 g;
- greens;
- flour;
- s alt, pepper;
- mayonnaise;
- sunflower oil.
What to do next?
First, let's start making dough balls. To do this, combine eggs, s alt and flour. We knead the steep dough and divide it into small balls, which are placed in boiling vegetable oil. Then we wash the tomatoes and throw them into boiling water. Remove the skin and cut into strips.
Chop the cabbage and crush it with your hands, add finely chopped greens to it. We cut the cheese into strips. Put the chicken fillet in boiling s alted water and cook for 12-15 minutes. Then cool and cut into cubes.
Hard boil the eggs, put them in cold water and peel them. Three whites and yolks on a grater separately.
Now we take the dishes on which the salad will be placed. Ideally for these purposes, a large dish is suitable. So, the Gorka salad is laid out in layers in the following sequence: cabbage, yolks, mayonnaise, chicken meat, proteins, mayonnaise, tomatoes, cheese, mayonnaise.
Top the dish with cooked dough balls.

Gorka in Mongolian
So, how is the Mongolian Hill salad prepared? The recipe is not at all complicated. We need the following components:
- chicken fillet - 500 g;
- beets (medium size) - 4 pcs.;
- carrot - 2 pieces;
- hard cheese - 200 g;
- prunes - 6 pcs;
- garlic - 3 cloves;
- mayonnaise;
- dill - bunch;
- walnuts - a handful.
Step cooking
Put the beets in boiling water and cook for 40 minutes. Then put in cold water. We do the same with carrots and chicken fillet. We rub the boiled vegetables on a grater. Chicken meat is cut into small pieces and lightly fried in a pan. Grind prunes in a blender, then walnuts. Three cheese on a medium grater, chop the dill, pass the garlic through a crush.
Mix mayonnaise with garlic, s alt and pepper to taste. Lay the Gorka salad in layers on a large dish. First - half the beet mass, then chicken mixed with nuts, mayonnaise. This is followed by carrots with cheese, mayonnaise, prunes. From above, everything is covered with beetroot mass (including the sides).

- walnuts – a handful;
- mayonnaise for dressing;
- vegetable oil for frying;
- lettuce;
- s alt.
Cooking according to the recipe
Chicken filletboil in boiling s alted water for 12-15 minutes. Then take it out of the pot and let it cool. Cut the chicken meat into small pieces. We put it on the stove in a frying pan and pour vegetable oil there. We wash the mushrooms, finely chop and send to fry for 2-4 minutes.
Boil hard-boiled eggs, cool and rub on a coarse grater. We do the same with cheese. Cut the cucumber into strips, chop the walnuts or finely chop with a knife.
Put washed and dried lettuce leaves on a wide dish. This is followed by a layer of chicken mixed with mushrooms and mayonnaise. Eggs and cucumbers are next. Between them must be mayonnaise. Cheese follows.
