Recipe for making apple wine at home: a simple recipe

The strength of this drink will not exceed twenty degrees, and in its preparation it is quite simple. To begin with, you will need twenty kilograms of apples and four kilograms of granulated sugar. It is not recommended to dilute the wine with water, because its taste and smell will change significantly.

The recipe for apple wine is:

  1. First you need to prepare the apples. They do not need to be washed, as the yeast that is incredibly necessary and important for fermentation should remain on the peel. If the apples are dirty, it is recommended to wipe them with a dry cloth.
  2. In order for the cooked wine not to be bitter, it is necessary to cut seeds from each apple.
  3. The next step is to run the apples through a juicer orrub them on a grater. Subsequently, you need to get an apple mixture, so you can use any means that will be most convenient for you to grind the fruits.
  4. After you get this mixture, it will need to be transferred to a jar, which, in turn, will need to be covered with gauze so that insects do not get into it and spoil your work. The drink will have to infuse for at least three days, during which the pulp will separate and float to the top.
  5. You also need to stir the wine at least four times a day with a clean wooden spoon. And on the third day, collect the pulp with a colander or the same wooden spoon.
  6. Be sure to add sugar to the wine and do it gradually. The amount of granulated sugar will depend on how sweet your apples are. The maximum amount of sugar per liter of drink is four hundred grams, and the minimum is about one hundred and fifty grams.
  7. After five days, you need to add the same portion of granulated sugar, mix thoroughly and install a water seal. A water seal is a kind of valve with which gases will be removed from the wine, but air will not enter it. Subsequent portions of powdered sugar should be divided into two equal portions and added every five days of fermentation.
  8. In order for the wine to achieve the necessary fermentation, you need to pour it into some kind of airtight container, such as a bottle, and try to make the best possible withdrawal. In order for the withdrawal to becorrect, you need to make a hole in the bottle cap and insert a tube into it.
  9. Near the bottle you need to put a small glass or other similar container, and place the other end of the tube there. Thanks to this, the gases will gradually leave the wine, but at the same time prevent air from entering the container, which can spoil or slow down the fermentation process of your drink. If your bottle does not have a cork or cap, then you can use a medical glove, you need to pull it over the neck of the bottle and make a hole in one of the fingers of the glove.
  10. Drink must be stored indoors, the temperature of which is not less than twenty-two degrees and not more than twenty-five. And after this completion of fermentation, you will have to wait from one to three months.
  11. If you see sediment at the bottom of the drink, it means that the wine has not yet fermented enough.
  12. If this happens, then carefully pour the drink into another necessarily clean container, while making sure that the sediment that formed during the previous fermentation remains in the old container. After this stage, you need to wait until your wine is fully matured, a process that can take three to four months. But this time you need to put the wine in a cooler place where the temperature will not exceed fifteen degrees.
  13. If during this time the precipitate reappears, you will have to repeat this combination until it disappears altogether.
  14. Perfectly prepared wine will be consideredonly if no sediment appears at the bottom for fourteen days.

If you do everything right, your drink should be a dark amber color. You can store such wine for no more than three years. But with a high probability we can say that such a drink will not linger for a long time, especially with a large company of your loved ones. It was plain apple wine.

Making dry wine from apples

The process of making this drink is very similar to the process of making wine mentioned above. As you know, it differs from all other wines in that it has a very small percentage of sugar relative to others. Therefore, to prepare this type of drink, you will need no more than one hundred and fifty grams of sugar per liter of base. But if you still underestimate the proportion of sugar to less than a hundred grams, then there is a big risk that the drink will be spoiled, since the fermentation process will not be able to occur. If you really like dry wine, then this drink made from ripe and tasty apples will suit your taste.

Preparation of semi-sweet wine

Like the previous drinks, semi-sweet wine is prepared in the same way. But for this drink, the concentration of sugar will be at least three hundred grams per liter.

Cooking steps:

  • First you need to wipe it with a cloth, remove the rot, if any, and rid the apple of the seeds.
  • The second step is to twist the apples in a meat grinder or juicer, in other words, chop them in any convenient way.
  • Next, you need to put the resulting mixture in a container and cover with a dense material.
  • After five days, it is necessary to remove the pulp, but leave about five millimeters of the film.
  • It's time to start adding sugar. It is necessary to divide it all into nine equal parts and add one portion every five days.
  • After you stir the first portion of sugar into the wine, install a water seal to prevent air from entering the drink.
  • Now you need to store wine for forty-five days at a temperature of twenty degrees.
  • After a month and a half, the young wine will be ready for use.

If you want the wine not to lose its taste for a few more months, then it is best to store it in a dark, cool room.

Wine recipe based on homemade jam

If you ever find apple jam in your bins that is over two years old andin your opinion is already hopelessly damaged, do not rush to throw it away. After all, it will be much better to use it for pleasant and necessary purposes, for example, to make fine wine out of it. For one liter of jam, you will need exactly the same amount of water and about one hundred grams of pitted raisins, which in this case will act as yeast.

Cooking instructions:

  1. The first step is to sterilize the jar. This can be done in many ways: soda, boiling water, but it is best to do it with steam.
  2. Wait a while for the jar to cool completely.
  3. If the jam has already lost its sweetness, then you need to prepare sugar syrup. To do this, mix water and sugar in a ratio of 1: 2.
  4. Then you need to put the jam together with sugar syrup in a jar and add raisins there.
  5. Next close the jar. It is recommended to leave it in a warm place for no more than ten days.
  6. After this time, the pulp will come out on top, which, of course, will need to be removed.
  7. The next step is to prepare another sterilized jar, into which you need to drain the strained liquid from the jam.
  8. As in previous recipes, it is necessary to pull a medical glove over the neck of the jar, in which there will be a hole in one of the fingers. In order to create the most acceptable tightness, it is necessary to tie the neck of the jar with an elastic band or tightly pull it with a string. It is also not forbidden to make a water seal with a straw.
  9. In this situation, the fermentation processtake at least forty days, when the wine is ready, you will immediately see it, as either the glove deflates or the water seal stops emitting bubbles.
  10. The resulting transparent wine must be bottled in different bottles, taken to a cooler place and stored for at least sixty days. Preferably store horizontally.

It is in such a rather simple way that you can get wine even from ordinary and unnecessary, at first glance, jam.
