Biscuit cakes are being prepared for a football player. In particular, in this recipe it will be "Zebra". To prepare the dough, we need the following ingredients:

  • Eggs - a dozen.
  • Sugar - 4 cups (800g total).
  • Flour - 4 cups (also 800 g).
  • Batch of butter 400g
  • Sour cream - 2 cups (400g total).
  • Cocoa powder - 6 tbsp.
  • Soda - 1 teaspoon.

Beat eggs, adding sugar one at a time. Then we add sour cream. Next - butter (melted). Add soda to the flour, mix it a little, pour this dry mixture into the whipped products. When the dough for the football-themed cake is fluffy and smooth and without lumps, it will need to be divided into two parts. To one add cocoa, knead. We lay the baking dish (necessarily large and rectangular) with baking paper and begin to lay out the dough in turn: a spoonful of brown, a spoonful of white, etc., until the dough is over.

Spherical ball cake: what dough to cook from

The football-themed cake can also be made in the form of a ball. For this, you can also use the biscuit dough from the above recipe. Cocoa can be added as desired or not. No difference. Only in this recipe you need to use a spherical type shape so that we get such a hemisphere. After the dough is ready, it will need to be taken out, cooled, cut into three parts and smeared with cream.

Cream for ball cake

For the cream you will need:

  • Water - 2 tbsp. l.
  • Peaches – 3 pieces
  • Cocoa powder - 1 tbsp. l.
  • Butter - 175g
  • Powdered sugar - 175g

However, you can use the cream from the previous recipe. It's just that this football-themed cake will have a completely different taste. Also, instead of green dye, cocoa powder is added here.

So, let's prepare the cream. Add cocoa to boiling water and stir. Now, beat the butter. Without stopping the process, pour the diluted cocoa into the butter and add the powdered sugar. Beat until the cream is smooth and fluffy. Cut the peaches into slices.

Cakes smear with cream and lay with peaches. Smear the rest of the cream on the surface of the cake without adding peaches.

Marzipan decoration

We will decorate this work of culinary art with marzipan. To prepare it, you will need three ingredients: water (3 + 2 tablespoons), sugar (1 cup) and almonds (1 cup). In addition, for decoration you need to have black and white chocolate.

Cooking marzipan. Dip our almonds in boiling water for a couple of minutes. We do not need water, so we drain it. Remove skin from almonds. Now you need to rinse the nuts well and fry them for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Syrup must be prepared from sugar and the rest of the water. And grind the almonds into flour. In the syrup, you need to heat the chopped nuts for about four more minutes. After that, the marzipan should cool down, and you need to either scroll it in a blender or in a meat grinder, then roll up two lumps - one bigger, the other smaller.

Add white chocolate melted in a water bath to a large part, and black to a smaller one. Both lumps need to be kneaded properly. Now they need to be wrapped in foil and put in the refrigerator. After some time, when the marzipan has hardened enough, it must be pulled out, rolled out and cut into hexagons of the same size. You need to hold the figures for a short time under a clean, wet towel. By color, the decoration is laid out in the same order as it goes on a traditional soccer ball. After finishing laying out the hexagons, the entire cake should also be covered with a damp towel.

For a couple of hours, the finished delicacy (both the first and the second) must be put in the refrigerator so that the cakes are soaked.
