Beer is one of the most common drinks in the world. He is adored by everyone, regardless of gender, age and other characteristics. Today we will talk about such a wonderful product as Budweiser beer. Let's talk about its types, analyze the reviews and give it a full description.
In general terms
Even when it comes to an alcoholic drink, it's not as simple as it might seem at first glance, especially when it's Budweiser beer. The manufacturer, or rather, its manufacturers, who are located in different hemispheres (the Czech Republic and the USA), named their product the same way, which, in turn, complicates our task a little. In principle, there is no big difference between their tastes, since the recipes of both options are based on Czech brewing technology. They differ only in notes of caramel, coffee and chocolate and the fact that American beer is light, and Czech beer is dark.
Czech beer
Czech-made Budweiser Budvar is a bottom-fermented draft beer,manufactured at a small factory "Budejovicky Budvar", which is located in the city of České Budějovice. The peculiarity is not only the original taste, but also extraordinary preparation, which makes the drink more delicate, and at the same time persistent, despite its ingredients and rich opaque color. Beer "Budweiser" has an opaque coffee-black tint. Dry aroma with well-perceived notes of hops, sour berries and caramel. The palate balances between hints of barley m alt, caramel and bitter coffee-chocolate undertones.
Cooking Features
The peculiarity of the Czech "Budweiser" is that it is brewed only on the basis of artesian water, which is located at a depth of more than three hundred meters. There are several wells on the territory of Budějovický Budvár, from which water is pumped directly into the brewery. According to legend, this water is the remnant of a lake from the Ice Age. In order for the beer to get a delicate taste, it is aged for ninety days in oak barrels in cellars located at a depth of about ten to twelve meters.
American version
American-made Budweiser is one of the most popular bottom-fermented beers. It has been made for several centuries, without losing its primary features. Its history began back in 1876 in a small town called St. Louis, Missouri. Private manufacturer Adolphus Bush, visiting Bohemia, decided to create Budweiser (beer) as an analogue of Bohemian. Name and traditionproduction was borrowed from Czech manufacturers, but despite this, the taste of the American version was significantly different from the Czech one. This led to the creation of a purely American lager. At the beginning of the twentieth century, Budweiser received the status of a nationwide beer, increasing its annual production to 12 million decaliters, which was a record in the history of alcoholic beverages. In the 20-30s of the 20th century - during the Prohibition - the production of a wonderful drink was almost stopped, but everything resumed immediately after the permission of the authorities.
Varieties
Budweiser American-made beer has six varieties:
- Budweiser Select is a low-calorie lager with just 4.3% alcohol;
- Budweiser American Ale - 5.3% semi-dark ale;
- Budweiser 4 - light beer, a lighter version with an alcohol percentage of 4.0;
- Bud Light - light beer, a light version with an alcohol percentage of 4, 0;
- Bud Ice - ice-cold lager with an alcohol level of 5.5%;
- Bud Dry is a light beer with an alcohol level of 5.5%.
Summarize
Despite the fact that the drinks are made in different parts of the world, nevertheless, the Budweiser beer of American and Czech production has almost the same taste. The only difference is that in America it is divided into several varieties, while in the Czech Republic it exists in only one version. The original recipes were taken from a single source, in the same way that the technology of preparation andexcerpts. There is a barely noticeable difference in shades. The American version, unlike the Czech one, does not have slightly perceptible notes of caramel in its taste, and the color is completely different, only the ale resembles Budweiser Budvar in color. It is the color of the Western version that has earned it the name “Pale Lager.”
What consumers are saying
Budweiser beer, reviews of which we analyzed, is one of the most sought-after alcoholic beverages on the world market. Those who have ever tried this drink note its extraordinary taste and aroma. Most often, attention is focused on the original combination of flavors of coffee, chocolate, caramel and hops. Pale lager is celebrated as a fresher drink. It does not combine the flavors of the Czech version, only ale can partially compete with its European counterpart. Fans of Budweiser emphasize not only an interesting taste, but also an acceptable price, despite the fact that this is a beer with a worldwide reputation.
