Classic recipe
So, today you have a Hawaiian party at your house, and you are cooking the right food in the kitchen. Let's decorate the table with a real salad, the recipe of which was brought from these islands.
Required products:
- boiled chicken (brisket is better) - 600 g;
- ham – 300 g;
- fresh or canned pineapple - 250g;
- cashew or macadamia nut (can be replaced with walnut) - 100 g;
- celery - 2-3 pieces;
- batun onion - half a bunch.
Hawaiian Chicken Salad Dressing:
- apple vinegar - 2 tbsp. l.;
- mayonnaise - 1 pack (150g);
- pineapple juice and honey - 3 tbsp. l.;
- a little s alt and pepper.
Boiled chicken fillet, sausage and pineapple cut into identical cubes. Chop celery and green onion into small pieces. chop nutsor break with a rock. Send all this to a salad bowl.
In a small bowl prepare the dressing. To do this, whisk mayonnaise, vinegar, honey, pineapple juice well with a fork. Add pepper and s alt to this. When a homogeneous mass is obtained, it is required to pour over the prepared products with it, mix gently and refrigerate for half an hour.
Serve chilled appetizer.
Hawaiian salad recipe with smoked chicken and pineapple
Try this appetizer on small serving plates. Such a festive look will decorate the table, and the unusual taste will interest other housewives, which will please you very much.
Prepare for 3 servings:
- smoked chicken meat - 150g;
- pineapple (canned) - 150g;
- 2 chicken eggs;
- hard cheese - 100 g;
- 1-2 garlic cloves;
- mayonnaise.
For a beautiful serving of Hawaiian salad with chicken and pineapples, we will immediately prepare 3 bowls of the same size, in which we will lay out the products in layers:
- Boil eggs, peel and chop with a fork. This is the first layer in our plate. Sprinkle with 1/3 of the grated cheese and brush with mayonnaise.
- Followed by a layer of half chopped chicken, then the same number of pineapple cubes. Lubricate well with mayonnaise and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
- Repeat the steps from the second paragraph, only now without the sauce and cheese. We crush a little, cover with a plate on which the salad will be served, and turn it over.
- Top can be decorated with a little mayonnaise mixed with yolk. Make any pattern with a toothpick, put a parsley leaf or decorate with tangerine slices.

Hawaiian Lomi-Lomi salad
This is a very popular party snack among the islanders. It is served chilled along with meat cooked in an underground oven. The name in translation means “massage”, as all the ingredients are mixed with hands, as if doing a light massage.
Put on the table:
- s alted salmon fillet - 0.5 kg;
- 2 large and fleshy tomatoes;
- half of a sweet onion;
- 1/3 of a bunch of green onions.
If you decide to cook the fish yourself, then in 2 days you need to cover the fillet with an even layer of s alt, wrap it in cling film and refrigerate. Rinse the cooked salmon a little under running water, blot with a napkin and cut into small pieces. We send in a deep cup.
The tomato should be de-seeded and chopped. Cut the batun with heads and sweet onions. Mix all products. Basically, such a salad is not s alted, since salmon should cope with this. Sending to a cold place.
If you decide to serve a salad like in Hawaii, then freeze the water beforehand and crumble it into small pieces. To do this, roll the ice into a napkin and beat it with a rolling pin. Pour on a dish, and put on top of a slide Lomi-lomi.”
