Japanese salad dressing
The unusual name for salad dressing, wafu, has become increasingly common in various cooking shows recently, as the popularity of Asian cuisine is skyrocketing. This dressing contains national ingredients:
- six tablespoons each of sesame oil, rice vinegar and soy sauce;
- one small red onion;
- two tablespoons of granulated sugar;
- one tablespoon of white sesame seeds, lightly toasted in a dry hot frying pan until fragrant.
Preparation takes no more than ten minutes: the onion needsgrind very finely (for example, grate) and pass the mass through a sieve - you will need two tablespoons. Mix it with the rest of the ingredients and beat lightly until the ingredients are smooth. About 200 grams of sauce is usually obtained from such a quantity of products; it cannot be stored for more than 14 hours (in the refrigerator). Asians prefer to use it right away so that storage does not distort the flavor of the dressing.
Yogurt based salad dressings
This salad dressing is suitable for meat and fish salads, seafood dishes, eggs, etc. They also include dressings based on cream, liquid sour cream and diet mayonnaise. Keep in mind that this type of dressing needs to steep a little to be rich in flavor, but dishes that include yogurt dressings should not be stored for more than 10-12 hours. Several savory dressing recipes for salads will help to significantly diversify lunch or dinner, since the same set of products in a salad, flavored with different dressings, will have a completely different taste and aroma.

- 1 cup (250 grams) of plain yogurt mixed with 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and an equal amount of Dijon mustard. Add 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley, mix thoroughly or lightly beat with a blender.
- 200 grams of yogurt combined with two tablespoons of finely chopped fresh basil and a pinch of black pepper. Add s alt to taste. The dressing goes well with egg, tomato and cheese salad or shrimp.
Lemon mustard dressings
Lemon-based dressings rival the previous ones in popularity, as they are made from affordable ingredients, but at the same time have a lighter texture. They are ideally combined not only with green vegetables, but also with fish and warm salads. The main thing is that the heat treatment is minimal.
Preparing lemon juice salad dressing is easy:
- Mix in one bowl four tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice with two tablespoons of olive oil, add a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and 0.5 teaspoon of mustard powder. Mix thoroughly and beat until smooth, let it brew for half an hour in a warm place.
- Another savory dressing recipe will delight lovers of sweet and sour tastes. Combine in one bowl two tablespoons of lemon juice, honey, and Dijon mustard, add to them 8 tablespoons of olive oil and a little s alt to your taste. Whisk lightly and use immediately for salad dressing.
Thick meat salad dressing
Sometimes you want something really special, with a spicy-spicy taste, but without harming your he alth. In such cases, many are saved by a simple warm salad of meat or cuts of any type, seasoned with spicy dressing. It is not very suitable for fresh green salads, as it has a pronounced spicy taste with bitterness, which is ideal for emphasizing the taste of meat. What is required forcooking? Nothing complicated:
- one onion, peeled, grated;
- Grate the horseradish root on a fine grater - the finished mass should be one tablespoon without a slide;
- chopped parsley, dill or cilantro very finely - should be about two tablespoons;
- 150 grams of sour cream combined with two tablespoons of wine vinegar, add one teaspoon of mustard and s alt to taste. Can be lightly seasoned with ground pepper.
Combine the resulting mixture with the previously prepared ingredients, mix thoroughly and, if desired, beat a little with a blender.
It is important to remember that the dressing of any cooking method should not stand for a long time without stirring, it must be periodically shaken, mixed, shaken so that the ingredients constantly exchange flavors.
