Petrozavodsk is the capital of the Republic of Karelia. The city is located on the shores of Lake Onega. The distance to Moscow is about 1000 km. A city with a population of just over 275 thousand people is strikingly different from noisy metropolitan areas.

The biggest restaurant in town

"Severny" is a restaurant (Petrozavodsk, Lenin Ave., 21), which is located in the hotel of the same name. It's the oldest place in townoperating since 1939. In 2012, "Northern" was reconstructed.

There are several halls with different designs: a rich Provincial hall, a small room in the form of a Karelian hut, banquet halls, a children's playroom. This is one of the young establishments in the city. The hotel has a good sauna with a swimming pool and 6 double rooms. The interior of the restaurant is decorated in a classic style: large tiles on the floor, curtains on the windows, wooden tables and chairs, built-in daylight lamps. There are booths for small companies (up to 9 people). Cuisine - European, Oriental, Caucasian, Russian.

There is a dance floor, pylon, live music, TV monitors. Two halls: a teahouse with a real fireplace and a banquet room for 180 guests. For dinner, lunch, and especially celebrations (banquets, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, corporate parties), the restaurant of the Karavan hotel complex is suitable.

Petrozavodsk, restaurant "Fregat"

Fregat Hotel is located in the building of the old river station on the shore of Lake Onega. Ends in 2016reconstruction of this building. All guests of the two-story restaurant at the hotel note the wonderful view of the lake through the huge panoramic windows.

The interior is dominated by white and pastel colors. A spiral staircase leads to the second tier. The furniture here is modern: chairs, wicker and soft armchairs, sofas.

Colorful restaurant "Petrovsky"

Petrozavodsk, like the restaurant "Petrovsky", is named after the great Russian Tsar - Peter I. The institution is located at the following address: pl. Lenina, 2.

Inside the restaurant is very original: animal skins hang on white walls, halls and corridors have a vaulted ceiling, a cannon with cannonballs stands on the floor, multi-colored stained-glass windows, forged black bars and chains.

The cuisine here is Russian and Karelian. Live music is played in the evenings. The prices are reasonable (a hearty dinner will cost about 1500 rubles).
