You will lick your fingers! This is how consumers recommend the product of the Ukrainian factory "AVK". Indeed, the taste of the Gulliver candy is reminiscent of the sweet bliss that many enjoyed in the era of Soviet childhood.
Delicious memories
A large wafer-chocolate candy in a paper wrapper "sock" appeared on sale in the mid-30s. The delicacy charmed all the children of the Soviet Union with its size and delicious festive taste. It is noteworthy that the Gulliver sweets were produced at several factories in different republics of a huge country.
One of the best
In the post-Soviet period, the production of sweet treats did not stop. In the early 90s, businessmen Vladimir Avramenko and Valery Kravets launched the production of confectionery products in Ukraine, and the initial letters of their surnames formed an abbreviation that gave the name of the company - "AVK". Sweets appeared on the conveyors of the factory after the production of packaging and glaze in 1996, when the company took over a controlling stake in the Donetsk Confectionery Factory. Since 2017, the factory has been ranked high in the ranking of the best confectionery companies.
A familiar taste in a new time
Many people keep mentioning the impeccable quality of Soviet desserts. Modern sweets are inferior to them in a number of positions, but not the Gulliver sweets of the AVK company. The secret of success is that the product contains mostly no substitutes, but high quality natural ingredients. The candy acquires a fabulous taste thanks to the successful combination of chocolate and roasted nuts in a dense praline layer between crispy wafers.
Breakfast with Gulliver
Producers used the classic recipe. As part of the Gulliver sweets there are:
- Chocolate glaze, consisting of grated cocoa beans, natural powdered sugar, lecithin, flavoring.
- Sheet wafers made from premium flour.
- Crushed cocoa beans.
- Fried grated hazelnut kernels.
- Coconut oil.
- Vanillin.
- Vegetable fat.
One hundred grams of candy contains 549 kcal. One piece weighs approximately 50-53 g. It turns out that a snack with Gulliver is almost equal in calories to a full breakfast. Only the benefit from it, of course, is less, because sweets cannot be called a balanced product: these are only carbohydrates and fats with an insignificant percentage of protein.
Meet by clothes
The confectionery masterpiece is well packaged: a bright wrapper presents a close-up of a smiling character in Jonathan Swift's tetralogy about the adventures of Dr. Lemuel Gulliver next to a midget. Candy among other representativessweet kingdom and looks like a giant herself.
Chocolate Lab
The production of multi-layered Gulliver sweets is similar to the production of any confectionery sweet from wafers, fillings and icing. The process begins with the preparation of chocolate. The main raw material - cocoa beans - are sorted, roasted and removed from their shells. After that, the beans are crushed into cereals, and then ground together with powdered sugar, fat and flavoring additives. The finished powder is sent for conching. This is a complex technology in which chocolate reaches the desired condition and acquires a uniform buttery texture with a delicate taste. The process takes 2-3 days. This is how the frosting is made. At the same time, the production of praline - a nut mass - is underway. Roasted hazelnuts are mixed with powdered sugar and sent to a mill, where the ingredients are thinned into flour. When fat is added to it, the filling will melt in your mouth.
Sweet chain
The next step is to bake waffles. The machine kneads the dough from wheat flour, water, baking powder, egg powder and vegetable fat. The dough flows through the pipes to the machines, from which ready-made wafer sheets come out. They are fed to the spreading machine, which applies the filling to the waffles. The procedure is repeated depending on how many layers the recipe suggests. Then the semi-finished product is sent for cooling, and then to the cutting machine, which divides the future sweets into portions.
Next, the conveyor launches the blanks into the chamber, where they pass through the flow of glaze. So that shedistributed evenly, the sweets are blown. In conclusion, the product is sent to a cooling cabinet for 10 minutes, and then to a wrapping machine, which itself cuts candy wrappers, wraps sweets in them, distributes them into boxes and weighs them. The packaged delicacy is sent to the finished product warehouse. This is how a charming dessert is created to delight the sweet tooth.
