Restaurant "Seventh Heaven" - a revived landmark of Moscow

Seventh Heaven restaurant… Many of the older generation were lucky enough to visit it, because it was not for nothing that this institution was considered one of the best and certainly the most unusual in the capital of the Russian Federation for quite a long time. For some, this pleasure is yet to come.

What is so extravagant about it? Why has the Seventh Heaven restaurant been so famous for so many years now? This will be discussed in this article.

Section 1. General Description

First of all, we note that the "Seventh Heaven" is a restaurant complex, which is located in the building of the Ostankino TV tower in Moscow. The first visitors visited here in 1967. But in 2000, a decision was made on a large-scale restoration. The reopening, as it became known from official sources, will take place very soon, in the summer of 2014.

Section 2. What is the Seventh Heaven restaurant (Moscow)?

Today the complex occupies three floors, each of them has its ownname: "Bronze", "Silver" and, accordingly, "Gold". All of them are at an impressive height of 328-334 meters.

The total area of the premises is 600 square meters. The width of each of the three halls is two and a half meters; 80 people - the largest capacity on the level. Opened in 1967, Seventh Heaven was originally a catering organization in the USSR, which was considered the most popular at that time.

It quickly became the most popular object in Moscow, however, mainly for foreign tourists and city guests who could afford to visit the Seventh Heaven restaurant. Prices in this establishment have never been low or even average.

The ring-shaped rooms rotated in a circle. For forty minutes there were from one to two complete revolutions.

The Seventh Heaven restaurant operated continuously for 33 years before the fire in 2000. The fire completely destroyed all the floors. Since its inception, the restaurant has been visited by approximately 10 million people.

Section 3. Restoration work

From the beginning of the reconstruction and over the course of two years, a lot of work has been carried out in the halls of the restaurant to improve fire safety. The newest water fire extinguishing systems were installed, the old double-glazed windows and outer casing were replaced with new ones, and all metal structures were treated with special fire-fighting compounds. Also, the water supply, air conditioning and ventilation systems throughout the restaurant were completely updated.

During its operation, the Seventh Heaven restaurant had halls decorated in the retro style of the sixties. During the restoration, investors wanted to preserve this style, having completed it with the help of new materials. But in 2005, the main company that agreed to the restoration of Seventh Heaven was Crystal Gross, a company that produces alcohol. The final decision was the design, according to which all levels of the restaurant will now have a different purpose and design.

By the way, one cannot but note the fact that now the adjacent levels of the Ostankino TV tower will be involved in the restaurant business. The only thing that was not possible was to increase the utility and kitchen areas, so most of the dishes prepared to order will be delivered from the first floor.

Section 4. Plans for the future

It is unlikely that anyone will dare to argue with the fact that after the completion of all repairs in general, the Ostankino Tower, the Seventh Heaven restaurant in particular, will again become the main attractions of the capital. All three halls will differ not only in design, they will have new names - "Jupiter", "Ostankino" and "Vysota".

The restaurant itself will turn into a real recreation complex. The first hall will be rebuilt into a fast food cafe called Vysota. All kinds of shades of white will be the dominant color of the establishment. However, instead of standard hamburgers, visitors will be provided with a menu of high-quality, traditional Russian pastries. Following the global trends in the restaurant business, herethey will equip a luxury room where visitors can watch how the dishes ordered by them are prepared. Those guests who book a table of a higher class will have a unique opportunity to be the first to taste the delicacies prepared by true professionals.

Two tiers have been allocated for the "Jupiter" restaurant at once. It was decided to do this in case of a large number of visitors. The lower hall is equipped for those guests who are not averse to admiring the panorama with a telescope. Moving floors will also be an exclusive feature of the halls.

Section 5. Analogues in the world

In Las Vegas there is a restaurant "Moon", it is located on the roof of the Palms, the city's famous entertainment center. The main feature of this restaurant, in addition to the height, of course, and amazing views, is the most delicious pizza in the world, which tourists and locals want to try again and again, so there is simply no end to the guests.
