"Seventh Heaven" - a restaurant in the Ostankino tower

Seventh Heaven is the name of the restaurant complex located in the building of the Ostankino television tower in Moscow.

Legendary Ostankino Tower

The Ostankino television tower has been leading its history since 1957. N. Nikitin designed the tower in one night. The purpose of the construction was to provide a strong radio and television signal at an altitude of approximately 380 meters.

The Ostankino Tower is an architectural structure 540 meters high. The tower was built from 1960 to 1967. L. I. Batalov, D. I. Burdin and many other architects took part in the construction and development of the structure. At that time, the tower was the tallest building in the world. Today, in terms of its height, it ranks fourth in the world and first in Europe and Asia.

Each floor of the restaurant has a diameter of approximately 18 meters and rotates around its axis once or twice per hour. A pleasant romantic atmosphere reigns here - in the open air, with a panoramic view of Moscow and the Moscow region. After a fire on August 27, 2000, the restaurant was closed for restoration. It took the architects more than one year to restore the restaurant to its former beauty and make it more modernized.

After the renovation, Seventh Heaven has become more elegant, modern and tasteful. In three large halls with almost the same layout, there are tables along the windows around the entire perimeter. This arrangement was planned to make it convenient for guests to admire the panorama of the city. Today, the halls, as before, rotate around their axis, and at the same speed - once or twice per hour.

In each of the three halls, a different kind of service is provided. In one of the halls, which is called "Vysota", there are cafes offering delicious food and quick service to guests. Very attentive staff here. "Russian Diamond" - a hall in a classic style, located above the "Vysota", created speciallyfor lovers of gourmet cuisine.

"Jupiter", which occupies the third hall, is located on two tiers. There is also an observation deck with a telescope and a "cognac room".

The menu of all three halls must contain:

• pancakes;
• meat of various varieties;
• shchi;
• dumplings;
• homemade pies.
