No holiday is complete without a salad on the table. To surprise guests, I want to cook something new. Incredibly tender and tasty - hussar salad. You can choose the recipe with herring, meat, sausage at your discretion. In any form, it will become a table decoration.
Traditional recipe
Hussar salad will decorate the festive table or become a delicious and satisfying dinner. Ingredients:
- 300 g beef fillet;
- 4 potatoes;
- green peas;
- 2 green apples;
- pickles - 3 pieces;
- 4 eggs;
- mustard;
- lemon juice;
- kefir;
- mayonnaise "light";
- onion;
- paprika, s alt and spices.
Cooking process:
- Boil potatoes and eggs. Then cut into medium-sized pieces.
- Rinse apples. Cut into cubes.
- Peel the onion. Cut very finely and lightly sprinkle with lemon juice.
- Cut cucumbers into pieces.
- Chop greens.
- Boil beef in water with s altand spices, cool. Cut into cubes.
- Drain liquid from peas.
- Put all the ingredients in a deep bowl, sprinkle with ground paprika, add a tablespoon of mustard, kefir and lemon juice. Shuffle.
- To serve, put lettuce leaves on a flat dish, salad on top, and pour mayonnaise.
Salad with smoked chicken and tomatoes
The recipe appeared around the 20th century. Previously, only nobles could afford such a dish. If guests are on the doorstep, prepare a hussar salad. The chicken recipe is very simple. Required Ingredients:
- Smoked leg - 2 pcs
- Eggs - 2 pcs. (can be replaced with 6 quail eggs).
- Pickles - 2 pieces
- Onion - 1pc.
- Mayonnaise.
- Sour cream.
- Ripe tomato - 1pc
- Olive oil.
- Green.
- S alt and spices.
Step cooking:
- Boil the eggs. Then cool. Cut one part into small pieces, grate the second.
- Peel the onion, chop and fry in a pan until golden brown.
- Cut the chicken into thin strips.
- Chop greens finely.
- Tomatoes and pickles cut into strips.
- For the sauce, mix sour cream, mayonnaise and spices, beat with a fork.
- Put on a wide plate in layers: lettuce, chicken, onion, part of the eggs, cucumbers. Lubricate each layer with sauce. Sprinkle grated egg and herbs on top. We lay out the tomatoesaround the salad.
Cooking won't take long. Hussar salad is served with a side dish.
Hussar salad with herring

Ham salad
This recipe can be made in portions or in a common dish. Hussar salad, whose recipe with ham is especially popular, turns out to be delicious, beautiful and tender. Products needed:
- 1 small onion;
- ham - a small piece;
- eggs - 3 pcs;
- corn - 250 g;
- prune;
- walnuts;
- mayonnaise.
Step by step cooking salad:
- Cook eggs and potatoes.
- Drain the liquid from the corn.
- Ham, eggs and potatoes cut into small cubes.
- Pour boiling water over the onion, chop.
- Pour hot water over prunes for 10 minutes. Cut into strips.
- Chop nuts.
- Spread the hussar salad in layers. Lubricate each with mayonnaise. Layers: potatoes, onions, ham, prunes, nuts, corn, eggs.

This cooking option is very unusual. It is completely different from traditional hussar salad recipes. What you need:
- Celery root - young, 2 pcs
- Raisins, prunes.
- Lemon.
- Pineapple.
- Apple green.
- Olive oil.
- S alt, pepper.
When preparing a salad, both canned pineapple and fresh are used. Preparation:
- Pour raisins and prunes with hot water. While it swells, prepare the rest of the products.
- Celery is peeled from a thin skin, rubbed on a coarse grater. Put in a deep bowl, s alt and sprinkle with lemon juice.
- Apple and pineapple cut into strips. To facilitate the process, use a Korean carrot grater.
- Sraisins, drain the water, add to the celery.
- Spread the apple and pineapple. Mix all the ingredients.
- Dress with olive oil, pepper.
