Thus, at the beginning of the 20th century, mezcal, a product of the processing of juice from a cactus, appeared. But it's still not tequila, it got its name later, when it becameproduced from a rare type of blue agave. It grows near the outskirts of the town of Tequila. When this drink began to be actively exported to other countries in the 20th century, tequila received its final name. In Russia, it has become popular relatively recently. For example, one of the most famous and popular options for drinking tequila in its pure form is as follows: the drink is poured into a glass, and a saucer with cut lime and s alt is placed next to it (you can take a lemon instead of lime, and to get a stronger effect, s alt is mixed with black ground pepper). Then a small handful of grains is poured into the palm and sour juice is dripped on top. After the mixture is licked from the palm of your hand and quickly washed down with tequila, snacking on citrus. You can also try this option: cut the lemon, remove all the pulp and flatten the bottom. The result is a "glass". Sprinkle its edges with s alt, fill the cavity with tequila and ice. Drink in one gulp. Or you can drink a drink in this way: take a glass, dip its edges first in orange juice, and then in sugar. Pour tequila - 30 or 50 ml - and drink quickly.
