In Russia, there is no better place for winemaking than the Krasnodar Territory, generously endowed by nature with an abundance of sun and warmth, a mild climate and wonderful air saturated with phytoncides.
In the village of Divnomorskoye, which is part of the resort area of Greater Gelendzhik, on the Black Sea coast, there are the southernmost picturesque grape plantations in the Kuban and the Divnomorskoye Estate winery. The terroir is unique: the vineyards are located on the seashore, surrounded by the famous Pitsunda pine forest on a vast rocky plateau, sunny and hot, blown by a fresh sea wind.

Divnomorskoye Estate Winery: description
The winery covers approximately 30 hectares. The wines are based on 15 classic grape varieties. White varieties ("East Slope"): Viognier, Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay,Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Saperavi, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat. Red varieties ("Western slope"): marselan, cabernet sauvignon, pinot noir, merlot, syrah. Wine "Usadba Divnomorskoye", a protected geographical indication, is made from berries harvested from vines brought from Italy from the Rauscedo nursery.
The winery is built from environmentally friendly materials, mainly wood, and equipped with modern equipment. It is located near the vineyards, organically inscribed in the landscape, being partially sunk into the mountainside.
Natural and climatic conditions of the village of Divnomorskoe
All experts in oenology (specialists in wine production technology involved in evaluating vineyards, water, soil and wine samples) agree that the characteristics of the terroir contribute to the creation of wines with a unique, rich and vibrant pattern.
In Divnomorskoye, although the hottest on the entire coast, the climate is mild, there is little rainfall here. Stony soils with a lot of limestone, marl and crushed stone are ideal for vineyards. The dryness of the soil stimulates the vines to develop a powerful root system and protects the roots from pathogens of various diseases.
The pine forest, stretching from Divnomorskoe for many kilometers towards Dzhankhot, creates a shield that naturally protects the vineyards from penetrating winds from the mountains. The unique properties of the grape harvest are given by the winds blowing from the sea. They harden the vines, providing constant airing of the vineyards.bushes by sea air.
There are no industrial facilities in the area of the winery, so the ecological situation here is also favorable.
Features of wine production technology
The terrain on which the vineyards are located is such that all work on them has to be done by hand. The vines are planted on a slope that drops to the sea, only a person can get close to them.
To make up for the lack of moisture in dry times, the vineyards are equipped with a drip irrigation system. The production departments of the ultra-modern winery use the latest technology and equipment.
In order to prevent the oxidation of wine materials and the development of microflora on their surface during long-term storage, an inert gas, nitrogen, is used in production tanks. The grapes are pressed on the receiving line with the help of vacuum membrane presses, then they enter the closed stationary tanks of huge size made of stainless steel. The vinification process is hidden from prying eyes, it takes place in vats of different sizes under the strict control of the winery workers. In French and Caucasian oak barrels, the organoleptic characteristics of the drink develop. A special room is equipped for drying grapes.
A distinctive feature of the production of white wines is that they are not aged in oak barrels.

Unfortunately, due to the high price, these premium-oriented wines are not available to ordinary consumers. Therefore, it is necessary to judge the quality of the products of a young brand not by customer reviews on the Internet, but by the assessments of professionals and true connoisseurs.
Despite my youthof the company, which is part of the Abrau Durso group, the wines have repeatedly won significant major tasting competitions, where recognized international wine experts act as judges. World critics give high marks to the quality of the Russian wine Usadba Divnomorskoye.
The corporate design of the outer packaging is refined and stylish, which also indicates the high quality of the product.
