Beer is probably one of the favorite drinks of many Russians. How nice it is to try a golden, foamy drink on a hot and sultry day, enjoying the velvety of every sip. Drink a glass before bed, sharing the taste of hops with s alted fish or spicy chips. Or just sit with friends, slowly drinking an amber drink. There are a lot of brands, as well as beer producers, but only a few manage to establish themselves under the “premium” sign.
Premium foamy beer "Old Melnik"
The history of "Old Melnik" began not so long ago - in 1999, although the company that produced beer ("Moscow-Efes Brewery") has existed on the market for more than a decade. A distinctive feature of the brewing concern is the production of large batches of foamy drink.
This is actually very important - often buying the same brand, you can besure that tastes from completely identical bottles will suddenly turn out to be unexpectedly different. The company confidently entered the top twenty of the best breweries in the world, having steadily settled in the 14th rating place. Thanks to modern advanced technologies, Stary Melnik beer received premium status - its light taste and lack of intoxicating bitterness quickly came to the taste of most Russians.
So delicious, but so different
The range of varieties of this beer is very diverse - it has eight different types.
Along with the Russians, Melnik is enjoyed by residents of Canada, Latvia, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Moldova and other countries. It is also noteworthy that the manufacturer chose a not quite familiar form in which Stary Melnik beer is sold - a keg. It would seem that such a shape would not be comfortable to grip with the palm of your hand, but numerous admirers of the foamy drink accepted the keg with great enthusiasm. The weakest type in terms of strength is "Old Melnik Non-Alcoholic". Fans can say with confidence - there is no such non-alcoholic beer that could preserve and convey the taste of real hops. However, the producers of this brand managed to do it to the fullest - tasting beer without degrees, it's hard to believe that it does not contain hops.
Light, golden, strong
Beer "Old Melnik Light" will appeal to lovers of mild flavors. Amber and light, it has a standard ABV of 4.6%. This species is distinctive in that there is absolutely not a drop of intoxication in it.bitterness - it is pleasant to drink it both in the heat and on a cool evening.
The next view is Stary Melnik Zolotoe. In terms of alcohol content, it surpasses the previous beer - 5.2%. The color of "Gold" is rich, amazingly transparent and unusually bright. As the manufacturers intended, it was this variety that became premium in the entire foam line. It also differs in taste - it is more intense and rich.
The description of the next type follows from its name - beer "Old Miller Strong". The alcohol content in it is increased - 6.5%. It is difficult to disassemble the bouquet of "Strong" - precisely because of the excess of alcohol-containing products. Rather, it can be called tough, which is fully justified (as already mentioned) by its name.
Draft nostalgia
The older generation remembers how delicious the beer was, which was sold right on the streets from large iron barrels. Its taste, its aroma, pleasantly burning bubbles of the tongue - the taste of a long forgotten past. It was on this that the producers of Melnik were based, trying to awaken that very nostalgia in buyers.
And I must say, quite successfully. "Melnik iz Bochonok" with a strength of 5.2% is the first trial version of draft beer sold in cans and bottles of a new form. Beer "Old Melnik Soft" became a continuation of the barrel theme. Its strength is 4.2%, which, of course, affected the taste - soft and velvety. Another species is also distinguished by velvety - "Old Melnik Velvet". Dark beerwon the hearts of consumers with its delicacy, caramel aftertaste and rich burnt sugar color.
Special taste, special experience
The last kind of this line is beer "Old Melnik from the Barrel Special". Manufacturers approached the manufacture of this variety with great care. Unlike all previous varieties, only this beer is made on the basis of special varietal hops, which gives the beer a unique harmonious taste - the “golden mean” between the saturation of draft draft beer and the softness of the branded “Melnik”. It has an alcohol content of 4.6%, which is slightly higher than usual, but not enough for a strong drink.
For comparison, Stary Melnik iz Keg Myagkoe differs from Special beer by only 0.4% in strength, but the difference in taste is simply amazing.
All eight species have one common and rather striking feature - beer is not only light and soft, but also refreshing.
Prestigious and authoritative
Old Melnik is often said to be a beer made in Russia and for Russia. The foamy drink quickly established itself as a popular drink, which allowed it to become a premium drink in a fairly short period of time. Beer has been repeatedly awarded high awards for unsurpassed quality, and since 2001 the brand has become the official sponsor of our Russian football players.
Several years ago "Old Melnik" took on another sponsorship - the famous rock festival "Wings". On theToday, beer is produced at five large factories - Moscow, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Rostov and Ufa. The manufacturer is pleased with the constant change of designs - from youth to simply attractive country music.
