A bit of history
The famous Tiraspol wine and cognac factory will turn 120 next year. Its history began at the end of the 19th century. Then, in 1897, it was a small enterprise that was engaged in the production of vodka from customer-supplied raw materials. Only forty years later, having mastered the new technology, the first cognac spirits were laid down for aging. And the first cognacs "Quint" appeared much later. Many people ask why the company has such an unusual name. Everything is very simple here. KVINT is an abbreviation made up of the initial letters of the phrase “cognacs, wines and drinks of Tiraspol”. Starting a new kind of activity, the company very quickly gained momentum. Now it is a large company with great opportunities and a rich range of products.
Even in Soviet times, the plant became famous for its White Stork cognac. Since thenproduction expanded, and cognacs "Quint" began to produce three different varieties: single, vintage and old. They differ from each other in the initial components and the exposure time.
Production base
In order to produce their cognacs "Quint", the company has its own production base. Firstly, this is a wonderful climate, the proximity of the Dniester River and the richest soils on which you can get a good harvest. By the way, the plant has its own vineyards, located on an area of almost two thousand hectares. There, specialist breeders grow about twenty different types of vines. All this makes it possible to invent new bouquets and create blends.
The spacious warehouses have space to hold enough produce. There are cognac spirits aged for about 60 years. Not every manufacturer can boast of this! The plant's capacity is almost twenty million bottles per year. This volume is impressive. About thirty brands of cognacs aged 3-50 years go on store shelves. Moreover, buyers may not be afraid for the quality of such a product, since the Tiraspol plant has been operating under the ISO: 9001 (BVQI) system since 2000. The international standard gives a certain guarantee.
