Cooking method

Procedure for making our computer cake:

  1. Take waffle cakes and cut out two rectangles of the same size from them, they will be the future monitor of our laptop.
  2. Melt the chocolate in a water bath, spread the resulting mass on one of the waffle cakes. Arrange wooden skewers on its sides and place another waffle cake on top. Put the resulting base in the freezer for a short time. 20 minutes will be enough.
  3. To create a keyboard, do the same, but without the skewers. Also put in the freezer for twenty minutes.
  4. All this time, while our laptop base will harden in the freezer, we can create mastic.
  5. Pour outmarshmallows in a plate and add tender warm butter to it. We place the plate in the microwave for one quarter of a minute. From this procedure, the marshmallow will rise and swell.
  6. Add the powdered sugar to the resulting mixture and mix well. As a result, you should get a mass that is not quite liquid. Watch its structure, because then you will have to apply it on a future laptop, and it will not have to drain.
  7. Pinch off pieces of our mastic, you will need them to create and sculpt figures. Color one of the pieces the color you want by saturating it thoroughly with food coloring.
  8. All actions must be performed on a dry, slightly powdered part of the table. Your hands should also be lightly coated with powdered sugar so that they don't stick to the fondant.
  9. From the remaining mastic you will need to create a dull dark gray coating of our computer. And we also need a chestnut mastic cover for the bottom of the laptop. Divide the rest of the mass of mastic into two parts. In the first add a dull dark gray paint, and in the second - a pale chestnut, thoroughly knead everything without exception. It is necessary to knead until a homogeneous and one-color mass is obtained. Roll the resulting colored mastic into layers.

Forming a notebook

When the chocolate in the wafer shortcakes hardens well, it's time to take them out of the freezer. Pull out and carefully cover with the resulting mastic, gently smoothing out all the bumps with your hands. Cut off excess pieces of mastic with a knife, and the surface itselfmoisten with water. Wait a bit and let the cakes dry well. Next, we send our laptop base to the refrigerator. We are waiting for the absolute solidification of the entire mass. You can put the biscuits in the refrigerator overnight. Let's start decorating the cake itself. Prepare the cream by bringing it to a state similar to mastic. Beat it again until completely thickened, add one package of melted butter and four tablespoons of concentrated sugar syrup. Spread the resulting consistency on the surface of our cake. And again we send the cake to the refrigerator so that the cream hardens as much as possible. After that, we take it out of the refrigerator and cover with light brown mastic. So it turns out a stand for our laptop. Now let's start designing a laptop. Using wooden sticks, connect both parts of the computer, create inscriptions and letters on the keyboard and decorate the display itself with an interesting pattern. Place the laptop on the stand.

Our little laptop cake is complete!
