Delicious cake base

In order for the cake to succeed, it is very important to choose a solid base-cake. And of course it has to be delicious. In principle, you can make any cake that your child likes. It is only important that it is dense and keeps its shape well. In this recipe, we offer the following option for the base.

For the cake you will need the following products:

  • 3 eggs;
  • 230g granulated sugar;
  • 60g honey;
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda;
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder;
  • 200gpremium flour.

Mix all ingredients, except flour, in a metal cup and put on a steam bath. Beat continuously with a whisk. From heating, the mass will begin to bubble and grow right before our eyes. In no case should you leave it unattended so as not to spoil the future Robocar Poli cake. The mass will noticeably increase in volume.

Remove the mass from heat, cool slightly and add wheat flour to it. The dough will be slightly sticky and soft. To make it easier to work with, you need to put it in the refrigerator. After 3-4 hours, take out, divide into 4-5 parts. Roll each into a circle with a diameter of 24 cm (you can use a plate for measuring). Transfer carefully to a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake for 3-4 minutes at 180 degrees until the cakes are golden. Place in a stack and cool.

Meanwhile, you can work on the cream. This is another component, without which a delicious Pauly Robocar cake will not work. It will require:

  • 1 kg cottage cheese;
  • 150g butter;
  • 3 yolks;
  • 350 g of sugar.

Mix cottage cheese, yolks and granulated sugar in a cup until smooth. Add softened butter and put on fire. Cook, stirring, until the mass boils. Then boil for another 5-6 minutes to thicken it. The consistency will be a thick semolina porridge. Cool the finished cream and layer the finished cakes well with them. It must be still warm so that the future Robocar Poli cake is soft. Leave to soak for 5-6 hours.

Assembly and preparation formastic

After the base is well soaked and set, you can begin to form the future machine. Trim the sides of the cake on both sides. Don't be in a hurry. When adding two sides, their total height should be equal to the width of the remaining middle. Place the cut pieces, rounded sides up, on the rest of the cake. Trim the edges a little. The base should already resemble a future typewriter.

From above, you need to level everything either with ganache or a special cream for mastic. Otherwise, the Robocar Poli cake may not work. To prepare the latter you will need:

  • 3 protein;
  • 160g sugar;
  • 225g butter.

Heat egg whites and sugar on a steam bath, stirring constantly so that the mass does not burn. Add a pinch of s alt. Remove from fire and cool. Separately, beat the butter (take it out of the refrigerator in advance). Then gradually add it to the protein mass while whipping. The cream should increase in volume and shine.

Using a special nozzle, apply the cream on the cake from all sides and smooth. Leave in this state for several hours so that the base sets well.

Mastic decoration

In order to make this cake for beginners, it is recommended to use ready-made fondant. In total, you will need blue - 400 grams, white - 200 grams, black and red - 100 grams each. If you have time and energy, you can make it yourself from marshmallows.

For one serving you will need:

  • 100 gr. marshmallowmarshmallows;
  • 200-300 gr. powdered sugar;
  • 1 tbsp butter spoon;
  • food coloring in desired colors.

Put the marshmallows into a cup and add the butter. Put in the microwave for 15-20 seconds until the marshmallows increase in volume. The resulting mass is divided into parts. Add to each powdered sugar and the desired dyes. Knead first with a spoon and then with your hands. The mass must become plastic. Add powdered sugar gradually. You may need a little more or less than the recipe calls for.

Roll out the blue fondant into a thin layer that will cover the entire base of the cake. Transfer to the workpiece and press well on all sides. To make the cake look like a cartoon character, it is advisable to take Paulie's toy for a while. Then, from white mastic, make decorations on the sides and front of the machine. You can stick them with sugar syrup.

Cut out the letters "P" from the same blue mastic and place them on each side on a white background. From the red mastic, make circles that will become the headlights behind the car. From black you can make eyes, eyebrows and a roof for Pauly Robocar. Lastly, make a flasher from red and black mastic (strengthen with a toothpick). Wheels can be made from suitable cookies in shape and size. Secure them with a toothpick too. On this cake "Poly Robocar" from mastic is ready!
