Before we move on to the question of how to make wine from cherries inat home, it is necessary to say a few words about the juice that this berry secretes. It is incredibly thick, it contains a lot of acid - up to 2.2%, as well as glucose - 12.8%. Tannins are also present - 0.1%, which give the alcoholic drink astringency.

1) cherry juice - 1 liter;

2) water - 0.5 liters;

3) sugar - 350 grams.

First of all, you need to wash and grind the berry with a meat grinder, and then place it under the press. The result is crushed cherries, which winemakers call pulp.

Then you need to get the juice from crushed berries, which is diluted with water. To make the wine strong, add sugar, but it is very important not to overdo it, as the fermentation process can slow down.

The next step is fermentation. In order for it to proceed properly, experts use special wine yeast. If they are not, then you can buy regular ones. Some recommend raisins as an ingredient for good fermentation.

After the fermentation is complete, you should take a ten-liter glass container and fill it ¾ parts with wort. The neck of the bottle is corked, and the wine is placed in a dark place. However, the production of homemade wine does not end there. After three days, the drink will begin to ferment actively. The above process will last approximately three weeks. 15 days after the end of fermentation, you can start clarification of the wine material, which is done artificially. Then the wine is bottled again in glass containers, corked and placed in the basement for storage.

As a result, it turns out that making homemade wine from cherries is not such a difficult process, however, it requires certain skills.
