Usually such a mixture is not displayed in the menu of any institution, but visitors still actively ordercognac or whiskey diluted with cola, to the delight of waiters who do not have to prepare a drink for a long time, and to the horror of alcohol connoisseurs.

According to many, the Beatles brought from the USA a recipe for such a drink as the Idiot cocktail: 50 ml of cognac (whiskey) and 50 ml of cola. The Liverpool four were captivated by this combination, which they managed to try on one of the tours, and began to actively promote it in Europe. Since then, in many pubs and cafes where the Beetles performed, they began to offer this cocktail to all visitors.

This combination is not particularly recommended by doctors: carbonated drinks allow alcohol to be absorbed faster, which makes a person get drunk faster. In addition, sweet soda destroys tooth enamel, and cognac can color it. But if you drink low-quality cognac, then, in fact, yellow teeth are not the worst thing that can be.

Ordering cognac with cola (Idiot cocktail) or something stronger in some establishments is generally dangerous: you never know what is being poured into a glass.
