And what could be nicer than a freshly served jam pie with crispy and appetizing dough, sweet berry jam and absolutely fantastic taste? But, of course, we will not tell anyone that it was baked in some 40-50 minutes!

Remembering how guests usually answer when you ask them about food, you involuntarily give up, and the desire to cook somewhere disappears. And there is nothing wrong with that! In this case, you should be guided by your own intuition, because often there is a desire to chew something sweet and tasty along with hot tea. So, today's jam pie is just perfect for this role.
And do you know how to determine if his mission was successful or not? If at the end of the fun gatherings with friends on the table there is not a singleslice of the pie, then you did everything right. And if not, it means that not enough time has passed for a friendly conversation.
Why jam?
It's amazing that out of all the variety of desserts and pastries, we chose this recipe. Although there is nothing strange here, because a pie with jam is quick and easy to prepare, and this is very important for modern housewives.
So why is dessert so easy? Because all its components can be prepared in advance, and only then used at the right time. For example, you made a lot of different jams in the summer and put them away before the winter. And on the weekend, they simply made several dough pieces and at the right time combined these components in one dish, putting them together in the oven. Thus, the jam pie will be ready in a matter of minutes.
Difficult choice
But which jam to choose? This question can be answered only if you carefully understand everything. If you want to add less sugar, then choose more acidic varieties, such as plum or currant. It is also worth considering that in order for the cake to turn out to be moderately sweet, you can use homemade jams in which you independently adjust the amount of sweetener.
Although all these thoughts may be simply in vain if you have already stagnated one or two open jars of jam for a long time. Then you need, without hesitation, take all the available ingredients and start making a delicious pie.
Ingredients for the first pie
First, we will prepare a yeast pie with jam, the recipe of which, like the composition, will be slightly different from the second option. But for the most part, both there and there, only basic and familiar components are used:
- Milk - 250 ml.
- Flour - 600g
- S alt - 1 tsp
- Dry yeast - 2 tsp
- Vegetable oil - 70 ml.
- Sugar - 100g
- Yolk - 1 pc.
- Jam.
Recipe one: yeast pie with jam
Sequence of actions:
- First, let's take all the ingredients out of the fridge so that they reach room temperature before we start cooking them.
- In a separate deep bowl, slightly heat the milk, then remove it from the stove and add sugar and yeast to the container. Gently stir the liquid until the granules dissolve.
- In another container, combine all the dry ingredients, passing them through a sieve in advance. Here we add milk with yeast, as well as butter.
- Knead the dough first with a spoon, and then work with your hands. You need to work hard on it, but do not overdo it. As a result, the dough should be smooth and elastic.
- We cover our dough with a towel or cling film to avoid chapping, and put it in a dark place for 1-1.5 hours.
- Roll out the finished dough with a rolling pin and place it in a greased form, dividing it into several parts in advance (you can also doFrench shirt, covering the sides with the thinnest layer of flour). You can use all the dough right away to make a lattice on top, or you can freeze until the next time.
- Spread a layer of berry jam, create strips of dough as desired, grease the edges of the dough with beaten yolk and put the dish in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees for 30-45 minutes.
The finished cake, the jam on top of which thoroughly soaks the airy dough, is simply magical. It is good both warm and chilled.
Taste and color
With this motto, we are starting to make the second dessert, which was a shortcrust pastry pie with jam. When similar ingredients are combined, the result is still a different dish that has its own advantages, for which it is appreciated.
So, for example, the dough is not airy and fluffy, but crumbly and elastic. And since the jam is distributed over a different dough, the final taste is completely different. But let's not waste time and get down to the fun part.
Ingredients for the second pie
They are practically no different from the previous ones, except for the fact that milk is replaced by butter. Everything else is the same, so you can bake any of the pies with similar ingredients:
- Flour - 260g
- Baking Powder - 1 tsp
- Egg - 2 pcs
- Sugar - 90g
- Butter – 150 g;
- S alt - a pinch.
- Jam, jam or marmalade (you can alsouse fresh fruits and berries, which are first sprinkled with sugar and stewed for a little, about 30-40 minutes, on fire, due to which sugar turns into caramel, which envelops all components, making them an excellent substitute for any jam or jam).
Recipe two: shortcrust pie with jam
His recipe is as follows:
- Melt the butter in the microwave or on the stove until completely liquid, then remove from the stove and add one egg, s alt, sugar and baking powder to the container.
- Mix the whole mixture very thoroughly to prevent the egg from overcooking, which can cause the dough to acquire an unpleasant egg flavor.
- Pour the sifted flour into a container with butter and, gently mixing so that the flour does not fly out, bring all the ingredients to a homogeneous and smooth shortbread dough.
- Wrap the finished dough with cling film and put it in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes to complete all the unifying processes in the dough itself.
- To use only chilled dough in cooking, prepare a baking dish in advance by greasing it with butter and sprinkling with flour.
- Roll out the dough and put it in a flat disk on the bottom of the form, forming rather high sides so that they hold the jam.
- Lay out the next layer of jam, and then a lattice of dough as desired. We cover all open parts of the dough with whipped yolk.
- Crumb pie with jam is sent to the oven, preheated to 200degrees for 35-50 minutes until a golden and elastic crust appears on the dough. It is best to cool the finished dish a little, after which you can safely serve it with tea or coffee.
Interesting replacement
So we learned how to make a jam pie, the step-by-step recipe of which turned out to be so simple that, most likely, even novice cooks can handle it. But do not stop at this stage, as only experimentation and creativity in cooking can ensure you improve your culinary skills. So, if jam pie is quick and easy for you, then you can try replacing jam with something more complex.
