As you know, fruits and berries are natural suppliers of vitamins, and therefore it is important that these components of the "natural basket" are always present on the table. This can be achieved by preserving the fruit or by using other processing methods, such as making compote or wine. Moreover, the latter option is a healing agent, the beneficial properties of which have been known since ancient times. There is a whole science of healing with wine, for example, wound healing, recuperation, and so on. Moreover, this drink can be prepared independently without losing antibacterial, strengthening and other beneficial properties. For example, wine from shadberry (whose recipe is not complicated) can be easily made, provided that the basic principles of making this drink are followed.

Plant and fruits

Irga is a small tree or shrub of the Rosaceae family withrounded dark green leaves and numerous white or cream flowers. The fruits of this plant are considered apples, although they look like small berries, dark blue or purple. They contain various substances such as ascorbic acid, carotenes, tannins and others.

It can be noted that the wine from the shadberry (the recipe for which we will consider below) retains all the useful elements of the fruit. It is prescribed as a diet drink for ailments of the gastrointestinal tract (gastrointestinal tract), as well as an anti-inflammatory and regenerating agent for various diseases.

Wine from shadberry (homemade recipe) is classified as a dessert wine, as it is very sweet. And often red or white currant juice is added to this drink to remove cloying. The execution process itself can be represented as follows:

  1. Preparation of syrup. Boil water (about 2 l) and add sugar (1 kg) gradually (in small portions), while stirring the solution. Cook the syrup for about 10 minutes over low heat.
  2. Preparation of juice. Wash and clean the fruits of irgi, squeeze the juice. The number of fruits must be calculated in such a way as to obtain 1 liter of extract.
  3. Harvesting wine. Add the prepared juice to the slightly cooled syrup, mix and pour into a special container (jar or bottle).
  4. To remove gases from fermentation, it is necessary to make a simple design, consisting of a cork witha hole where a small diameter rubber tube is inserted. Its end must be taken into a vessel with water. After closing the bottle of wine with a cork, you need to wait until the drink becomes lighter. After that, it is poured into another container and left for three months.
  5. The finished drink can be poured into small bottles and stored in the “neck down” position. Wine must be consumed within a year.

  1. Sugar (about 800 g) combine with half a liter of water. This solution must be added to half a liter of irgi fruit juice and set to “roam” for a week. In this case, the liquid should not fill the container to the top, and it is necessary to cork only 24 hours after the spill.
  2. The drink should brighten, and sediment should appear at the bottom of the bottles. It is necessary to carefully separate the top layer of the liquid into another container, and leave it to "ferment".
  3. Continue the procedure for clearing sediment until it is completely removed, that is, until the drink becomes completely light. Then it must be poured into glass containers and stored.

Additional information

Before making wine from shadberry, it may be useful to know the following information:

  • to obtain a quality result, you must use clean and not spoiled fruits;
  • it is better to press berries with the help of wood or plastic devices, since when the juice comes into contact with metal parts, a change occurs in the chemicallevel, and wine from such raw materials will not work;
  • In order for the fermentation process to go well, you can add to the juice a special starter from "wild" yeast, which is prepared from grapes. To do this, you must first squeeze the juice from several fruits of the vine and leave for a day or more. The fermented liquid is then added to the fruit drink.

Making wine from shadberry is not a difficult process, and you can process the entire crop and get a wonderful drink that has useful properties. Its use will be of help in the treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, and it also helps well with a breakdown. In addition, this dessert wine can also be used as a tonic drink after a hard day.
